About this deal

The information given in this product data sheet is given in good faith, based on current knowledge and experience. It relates only to the specific material designated and may not be valid for such material used in combination with any other materials or in any process. Such information is to the best of the company’s knowledge and belief, accurate as of the date indicated. Thermapaint Anti‐Mould raises the temperature of the wall surface in the room by between 0.5 and 1.2 degrees which is usually sufficient to reduce the incidence of localised condensation by up to 96%. Both our standard “Anti-Mould Emulsion Paint” and our “Mould Cure”, create an active-film fungicide on the surface, upon which mould simply cannot grow. The “Thermapaint Anti-Mould” has the additional inclusion of vacuum ceramic micro-beads, which raise the surface temperature of the wall slightly, discouraging the formation of condensation on the painted surface. In that sense it is dual action paint. It is available in 72 natural colours from our Lakes & Fells collection, developed in Cumbria. Mould and mildew need two things to grow, a nutrient source and moisture. The nutrient might be plaster, wood, paint or even wallpaper, and the moisture comes from water vapour, which in turn derives from everyday activities including, showering, boiling a kettle, drying clothes and even breathing. Remove the moisture and you remove the problem. Regular Updates: Our recommendations stay current with any changes in product performance or availability.

This particular paint is professional strength (but lower odour) and is one of the most effective paints when it comes to preventing damp and mould even against the most persistent condensation.

You should also seal your walls with the best damp seal paint from brands such as Polycell or Zinsser. Visit our blog for more information on how to hang wallpaper. So what can you use this paint on? Pretty much anywhere! I’ve used this stuff personally on bathrooms, kitchens, en suites and even pool houses. It’s incredible at dealing with high moisture areas. Firstly, you clean and remove the active mould spores with our even-more-active “Mould Cure Bio-Wash” which will kill the infection and remove the mould & mildew fungi.
