Your Perfect Prep machine is designed for use with water straight from the tap so there is no need to pre-boil the water using a kettle or use bottled water. The Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep filters feature a unique filtration membrane which removes bacteria and other contaminates that can be found in water. This ensures that your water is clean and safe to make a bottle feed. On average each Perfect Prep filter should last around 3 months, however this depends on the frequency of use and what size bottles you are preparing. The original Perfect Prep machine features a warning light which will indicate when the filter is due to be replaced and the Day & Night version will display a message on the screen. It’s important to note that you should only use distilled white vinegar for descaling if it is specifically recommended by the manufacturer. Using other types of vinegar, such as white malt vinegar, can damage the machine and void the warranty. These are genuine Tommee Tippee anti-bacterial filters for your Perfect Prep machine. We only recommend you use Tommee Tippee Anti-Bacterial filters with the Perfect Prep Machine. Do not use other brands of filters. The filter may look a lot like other water filters but inside is a unique filtration membrane to remove bacteria and other contaminants that can sometimes be found in water.Press the start/stop button. A green light will flash, and water will be dispensed to finish the cycle. The contents should be discarded. Clean the machine regularly: To keep the machine clean and hygienic, it is important to clean it regularly. The machine should be cleaned at least once a week, or more often if you use it frequently. The Tommee Tippee plain white filter and blue/white filters are compatible with both Perfect Prep machines. Troubleshooting Common Issues This product is intended to filter potable (drinking) water only. Do not put water of unknown quality into this product.

Clean the external machine surface with a clean cloth (it is advisable to use an antibacterial solution), taking care to clean in all grooves and under the dispenser spout. The machine will now begin to dispense the descaling solution. It will take around 10 minutes to complete the process.

Recognising the Warning Signs

Replace the water tank and turn on the machine. Run two cycles of hot water through the machine to flush out any remaining descaling solution. Press the descale button for 2 seconds and the system will run a descale process. During the descale process the red descale light will continue to flash. It is recommended that you descale the machine at least once every three months, or more frequently if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water contains higher levels of minerals, which can lead to a faster build-up of limescale in the machine.
