About this deal

Many male fertility supplements and female fertility supplements focus upon the benefits of one ingredient or contain strong antioxidants which can upset your metabolic balance, damaging the quality of your sperm and/or eggs.

The evidence shows that not only does Inofolic Alpha have numerous benefits for women with PCOS. In addition to improved insulin resistance and hormone balance, Inofolic Alpha helps with weight loss. Studies indicate that women lost about 6% of their body weight on Inofolic Alpha , but unlike the medications, when observed at the recommended dose, has virtually little to no side-effects.

The presence, seen on an ultrasound scan, of small multiple follicles (or cysts) arranged around the outside of the ovary.

This means that while both PCOS and the menopause have an impact on the levels of progesterone in your blood, they affect it in different ways and can exacerbate the existing hormonal imbalance in your body. Women with PCOS also tend to reach the menopause an average of two years later than women without PCOS. Is there a crossover in symptoms between PCOS and menopause? While I was on these I did notice my pcos symptoms were as bad eg I suffer with bad spots on my chest area which cleared it up a lot. I dont crave food as much. I’ve lost over a stone in weight. I was never really over weight but still needed to lose some. But I dont know whether it was down to this OR the fact I was on other medication that I had to come off before starting IVF or maybe both. The medication I was on before doesnt increase weight so I have no idea how I managed to lose a lot as I’ve struggled to shift weight for many years. As I said I wasn’t clinically overweight but I was on my high end of my BMI and I didnt want to increase that any more.

Raised testosterone levels or signs indicating raised androgen levels, such as hirsutism (unwanted hair growth), male pattern hair loss, acne/overactive sebaceous glands in the skin. Steph149 Brilliant! I’m glad your delivery is finally with you and keep me updated how you get on with them 😊😊 happy to help with anything you need in your journey even just as an ear to bounce things off to 😊 also glad you got a chance to put your feet up and relax a bit! Don’t use heavy duvets that leave you with nothing if you get too hot – layering blankets may work better In terms of the difference between Inofolic and Inofolic Alpha, as I’ve not take either I couldn’t comment on the difference between the two but as a supporter for the benefits of myo-inositol I can genuinely say personally I’ve seen great improvement in my periods regulating as well as my ovulation, so I highly would recommend a supplement containing this. The amounts of Myo-inositol in the recommended daily amount is pretty much what I’ve been taking with MyOva so on that front all sounds good!

Raised fasting blood glucose levels (a test to determine how much glucose (sugar) is in blood sample after an overnight fast) Take a look at the graphs below showing the difference in the menstrual cycle of someone with PCOS vs a regular cycle. Imbalances in your levels of inositols are associated with weight changes, including weight loss and weight gain. Studies have found these weight changes are linked primarily to how myo-inositol is metabolised in the body . Despite affecting around 1 in 10 women in the UK [1] , which makes it the most common female hormone condition, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is still often misunderstood by many people. It is most broadly associated with problems getting pregnant (although in many cases it does not need to be a barrier to successful conception with the right treatments in place) and so is often seen as running ‘in parallel’ with the years where a woman might expect to be fertile. However, the various other symptoms that PCOS causes aside from this mean that it does not simply go away when a woman stops being able to conceive. The onset of menopause is not a ‘cure’ for PCOS. What is PCOS? During reproductive years, many women with PCOS are focused on fertility and having a family, or they might be interested in managing the various symptoms. However, as one gets older and you move into the menopause, an increased tendency to put on weight together with insulin resistance can lead to more serious issues. There is an increased risk for PCOS women of developing the Metabolic Syndrome (Met S). This is a combination of key factors that can put a woman at risk of cardiovascular disease in later life. What is metabolic syndrome?
