About this deal

We’re the Deana-dhe. Brothers in arms, purveyors of truths and lies, dealers and debts. Legends. We’re also human. We’re men who hate, who hurt, who bleed. We’re men who love.” At last, we can dive into the world of Deana-Dhe and the enchanting character of Cyn. I’ve been enamored with her since we met her in the Masks world, and the Deana-Dhe have been menacingly swimming around like hungry sharks since we met them in the Stardom world. They are enigmatic, depraved, almost gleeful in the way they manipulate and terrorize others. I was so curious just what was behind their story and if, in fact, there was any redemptive qualities to these mysterious foes. Fortunately, Bea has such a keen ability to integrate humanity and charisma into even the darkest of her heroes, and Debts and Diamonds paints a compelling, empathetic, and complicated history between these four characters. However that didn’t mean everything was answered straight away, seeing as secrets were still being kept and mysteries were still to be unravelled. It needs to be known that the story was a good read to me, with enjoyable moments to be had throughout, considering Bea was able to have me read the whole book and not give up. Hey there! It’s Bea Paige here, and today I want to talk about a topic that affects many of us: debts and diamonds. Now, you might be wondering what these two seemingly unrelated things have in common, but bear with me because I promise there’s a connection. As someone who has experienced the ups and downs of financial struggles, I’ve come to realize that debts and diamonds are more intertwined than we might think. So, join me as we delve into the world of debts, the allure of diamonds, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. wealth and success

The HEA in this book was hard won and astonishing. Then to top that baby off with a primal chase scene… I’m done! 🫠🔥 I absolutely loved seeing Beast a bit. He seemed playful in this duet, but still his super deadly self. I enjoyed seeing The Mask and Christy too. I can’t wait to see where Bea takes this world next. There was also the case of appearances being made by her family members, which brought forth some revelations bringing more to the story from what was revealed, filling in some missing pieces when it came to Cyn’s life story. Also, Cyn being catatonic for a while after Faith's death didn’t ring true. Sure, that happens to some people, in life. But Cyn is so mentally strong, it didn’t feel like a fitting choice for her character. It’s also so extreme. A character being catatonic is boring in fiction. I think there could have been a more interesting way to show Cyn reacting to her ordeal. I'm not convinced this was the best possible storytelling choice.

The Deana-dhe have intrigued me since they were first mentioned in the world of Bea Paige. I continue to be in awe of this rich world she has created. Each story exists within this shared world but is standalone, although characters occasionally cross over. The reputation of the Deana-dhe is one of mysticism and mystery mixed with lethality. I loved the idea of these enigmatic men. They weren't what I was expecting. I knew they were lethal but I wasn't prepared for their cruelty. They enjoyed hurting Cyn because they could. I struggled with this. I would have preferred more visions, less spite. The first book had mild heat and got spicy at the end but I felt like that was what the group needed. I enjoyed the development and plots as they all found each other again. The ending left me hanging on for more and I was glad that Cyn’s secret were revealed! Bea you amazingly talented woman. I absolutely love this story. Not gonna lie took me awhile to feel any time of way about Cyn, there were moments she also tested my patience because she preyed on my pet peeves but otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Guys were everything and more. I kind of wanted the book to get darker than it was if that was even possible but maybe that’s just me. I have no doubt in my mind part 2 is going to just as amazing as this book. I was very dubious about the book and still found it rather disappointing. Especially with how the Deana-dhe were presented in the Academy of Stardom series. Analyze the financial impact of purchasing diamonds, including the cost and potential debt incurred

Particularly on Cyn’s part, due to the battle she had suffered through leading to her having to endure her own inner obstacles before fully reuniting with Deana-Dhe mentally and physically once and for all. stars. I didn’t dislike this book. I like this author, I love this British criminal underworld that she’s created in all of her books. I like her characters. Sadly, the Breakers weren’t in this one. But Grim and Beast were, and they were the best parts. But, I did have several issues with this story that prevents me from being able to give it 4 stars. The world can be an ugly place- fictional or otherwise, and these characters are no stranger to it. In fact, some have contributed to it. What I’ve always found so compelling about Bea’s writing is how she never shies away from that architecture- building worlds and stories that embrace not only the grey all around us but the grey within. Pain, trauma, despair, hopelessness- it’s as much a part of our humanity as breathing. But though it all the light is ALWAYS love. Love heals, love inspires, love fulfills, love hopes. And love can transform- take the worst of us and help us find the best, EVEN in the darkness. Even in the pain. And the Deana-dhe are tragically beautiful reminder that destination can outweigh the journey, that LOVE is stronger than the worst we can face- and it’s always worth the fight. It’s worth LIVING for. And if we LIVE with love…well, Cras es noster…Tomorrow is ours.

There was always a change between the present and the past and that was done by having a chapter in the present and then immediately having one in the past. I myself had a lot of trouble with that at the beginning because I was more interested in the present, and didn't find the chapters in the past interesting. However, the chapters in the past are necessary to understand the storyline. The Deana-Dhe transition beautifully into leading anti-heroes. Bea somehow maintains their air of mystery and menacing aura while also humanizing them. She gives them substance, differentiates each, and layers dimension on dimension. They are certainly worthy of a full story- easily stepping out of the shadows. But Cyn is the star- I loved how Bea gives her a quiet and vulnerable strength. She’s clever, gently coercive, and enchanting. And her muteness adds an interesting layer to her connection to the men, empowering her allure and protecting her secrets. Review: Book 2 is an epic conclusion to the Deana-Dhe duet and starts exactly where we leave in books 1. Book 2 is written 100% in real time with very little from the past. It is written in multiple POVs and brings in characters from prior series within the world Bea Paige has created. Cyn trying to protect all the girls that Soren has taken is so brave and courageous of her especially knowing that her actions will have horrible consequences. Cyn making that to give her and the guys the best chances to make it out of the skull brotherhood alive was genius I’ll be honest, Academy of Stardom is one of my favorite RH series....that said, all the books that Bea Paige has put out since then have been not bad, but just okay. So, I was pleasantly surprised this was very enjoyable. It’s definitely the best thing she’s written since Finale.Cyn a skilled witch/scientist/alchemist of the modern times, and she can create almost anything from plants. She also doesn’t speak since she was 4. There was also the case of the narrative feeling a little slow at times, as if there was no progress within any movement being had. Which is what caused my attention to wane in those moments. The set up of the narrative differed in this book, having been split into two parts which was surprising for me, having not expected it. Tropes: enemy to lover, PNR, RH romance, dark romance, bully romance, fated mates romance, mystical romance Definitely another favourite here from Bea. The way the characters lives weave into the same world always gets me. I'm looking forward to seeing where Curses and Cures leads us.
