Live in video attached it detects gas immediately and after reaching level 3 activates alarm which getting louder and different depending on level of the gas detected. It switches on via the light switch and switches off in the middle of the night and it acts as sort of burglar proof that someone is in. I will get round this by setting the off time late on after I have gone to bed (I used to switch the downstairs light off from the switch at the top of the stairs).
