I literally love everybody in this book; Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Giyu, Shinobu, Kanao, Rengoku, Mitsuri, Uzui, Muichiro. At times the author makes him so sweet and kind that it's jarring and highly unrealistic (even in a world with flesh-eating demons and superhuman swordsmanship that defy the laws of physiology and anatomy). On his way to town to get her to medical attention he runs into a demon slayer that informs him of demons, and that it was a demon who killed his family. It's one of the best adaptations of manga I've ever seen, super faithful to the source material and adds a ton of colourful elements to it. The story is set in Taisho-era Japan and follows a young boy named Tanjirō Kamado who becomes a demon hunter after his family is brutally murdered by demons. Even help from Tamayo and Yushiro may not be enough to defeat these Demons who claim to be a part of the Twelve Demon Moons that directly serve Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon responsible for all of Tanjiro's woes!
The plot is that of a young boy who comes home to his family being slaughtered by what he thinks to be a bear, he discovers his sister is still warm, and has been turned into a demon.

What will the Hashira—the top-ranked fighters of the Demon Slayer Corps—do about Tanjiro protecting his own demonic sister? still, despite all of the things i could nitpick about how i personally felt about the pacing by the end i had either teared up or cried multiple times soooooo shonen remains undefeated from laying me out emotionally, i guess.Because sure there are times when I'll mark the manga on my tbr, but that doesn't indicate the likelihood of me ever getting to reading it (I've got over 1. It was nice when well done, but it was so repetitive than by the end I didn't even cared if it was well done anymore, I just wanted the fight to be over. And, even some of the situations the characters are in can frighten some viewers, such as the main character's family being slaughtered by the hands of a demon lord. He is saved by a passing demon-slayer, who directs him to a grumpy old master on a mountain who will train him to also slay demons. Synopsis: While under the care of one the Demon Slayer Corps' Hashira, Shinobu, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Nezuko have recovered.
