Skullcandy estimates the Hesh ANC’s battery life to be roughly 22 hours, but your results will vary with your volume levels and your use of ANC. Tile lets you track a device via the Tile app, and you can use this to locate the headphones, even if they're not close. The method wireless do get louder and have more bass which I prefer to longer battery life and a tile, but these are still great.

They also have high latency on PCs, which is disappointing if you like to stream videos, as you'll experience syncing issues between the audio and video. Now even though its nice that the venues come included with a hard case… it looks like Skullcandy is cutting costs on their cases and relocating that budget to improving the build quality of their headphones. With an ultra-light headband and soft pads that fully surround your ears, Skullcandy Hesh ANC are some of the most comfortable headphones you’ll ever put on. The ANC emits a high-frequency hiss (not unpleasant—think faint white noise), which is common among affordable noise-cancelling headphones.

Taking the Skullcandy Hesh ANC out and about with you is made easier by two factors: the foldable, collapsible design and the included fabric bag. Sam Smith, the wobbly bass line has plenty of rumble, but it also muddies the vocals and higher-pitched percussion. But nonetheless I am impressed by the ANC On the Hesh ANC cause it does have less cabin pressure than the Skullcandy venue and its microphone arry does a much better job of blocking out wind noise when walking out doors than both the Venues and the Skullcandy Crusher ANC. Now even though the Hesh ANC blocks out a good amount of noise… it doesn’t block out nearly as much noise as a pair of premium ANC headphones like the Sony 1000XM4’s… and thats to be expected.There are plus/minus buttons that control both volume and track navigation—we’re not huge fans of this design choice, as it makes it easy to accidentally skip a track when you mean to adjust the volume. Noise-canceling headphones are ideal for blocking out the world around you but sometimes you need to tune into your surroundings - with Ambient Mode you can hear what's going on around you with just 2 quick presses of a button.
