Two Birds Countryside Spirits, based in the picturesque town of Market Harborough in Leicestershire, was founded in 2012 by Mark Gamble and Lyn Taylor. They distil small batch gins, vodkas and even an absinthe using a bespoke 25 litre copper and brass still, purpose designed and built by Mark, formerly an electrical engineer. Our expertly distilled Classic London Dry Gin infused with deliciously ripe raspberries and 100% pure British honey for a slightly tart but sweet taste. Appearance: Clear, red berry. Tasting notes: Ripe, slightly... The nose is definitely bigger in terms of the juniper. I notice it as being pinier when compared to their standard London Dry Gin, with a slight hint of rosemary, coriander, and dill.

Founded in 2013 in Leicestershire, Two Birds Spirits began purely with experimentation in the confines of the founder Mark Gamble’s home. Being both an engineer and a gin enthusiast (perhaps we could call him an en-GIN-eer?), it was only a matter of time until he build Gerard, the distillerys first copper still. Delightful in summer spritzes or over ice with cucumber tonic and a frozen watermelon slice to garnish I know what you’re thinking. This is more confusing than the time Watershed distillery put out a gin that competed against another gin called Watershed. Or that time we had two gins called Brooklyn: one made in Brooklyn, and another not. Or that time two gins with the word “green” in their name butted heads in court… Two Birds London Dry Gin boasts a relatively traditional set of botanicals: juniper, citrus fruit, coriander and orris root. The nose is strictly traditional, bright and juniper forward. Mark and Lyn launched their first gin in 2013 to widespread critical acclaim, with Two Birds London Dry Gin being crowned Craft Gin of the Year at the inaugural Craft Distiller’s Alliance Awards in 2013.
