About this deal

You know, some people think you murdered your crew for a larger share of the find before taking that escape pod. Something described as “Titanic” meets “The Shining” is bound to be a unique combination, so I tossed my Sci Fi apprehension aside and took a chance! Release Date: October 4th, 2022 Genre(s): Adult Fiction, Sci-fi, Mystery Publisher: Ace Pages: 336 Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you to Ace and Netgalley for providing me with an advanced finished copy in exchange for an honest review.

From there, it shifts gears, and while the story does build to a different sort of tension, we never regain the jittery creepiness of the first half. He was just an investigator for my employer the last time I saw him, but now he is apparently the head of the whole QA Department. I hang it, along with my helmet, on the peg that’s marked with my name above it on a curling piece of magnetic tape. I found her easy to love and root for, I wanted her to get a happy ending, and I genuinely liked the time that I got to spend inside her head.

This novel had all that I could want but it took me a really long time to connect with these characters.

Kate’s Rating 7: Pretty serviceable space horror with some good scary moments, but also pretty familiar in terms of plot points. The trauma of that event has stayed with her since, affecting her mind thus making her a somewhat unreliable narrator at times. I don’t usually branch out into horror, but Alien has proved that I can enjoy a good haunted house in space, and when Dead Silence by S.

Her last memories were of her and her crew discovering the Aurora, a luxury cruise spaceship that had gone missing twenty years previously, during its maiden voyage. Dead Silence mixes horror, mystery and sci-fi into a thrill ride sure to shock you out of your reading rut.I went into this novel expecting something to completely blow me away as the description was definitely hyping me up with excitement to sit back and read this from start to finish. Soon those things take the backseat as the crew hear things they’re not supposed to hear and start having powerful hallucinations as they work to crack the mystery. I completely agree that it didn’t feel like it was ripping off other stories at all but still had enough to draw comparisons; I’ve never seen Event Horizon but I watched Ghost Ship a ton and definitely saw the similarities!
