About this deal

An Assault Intercessor, who is usually part of an Assault Intercessor Squad, are Primaris Space Marines who are among the most widespread close support units in a Space Marine Chapter's arsenal. Firing their Heavy Bolt Pistols as they close upon the foe, they charge into the fray, where they make short work of their enemies with brutal swings of their chainswords. With Intercessors your plan is often going to be to have a very conservative first turn where you don’t lose any models, or better yet you don’t take any damage. You want to score as much as you can in this first turn without losing models. During this first turning point you’ll want to do as many Move + Score + Dash rounds to get into heavy cover as you can. Abuse those 3 APL profiles to place yourself and score where you should. Each member of an Intercessor Squad carries some variant of a Bolt Rifle, the standard Mark II Cawl Pattern version of which has a longer range and greater armour penetration than the older pattern bolter. Additionally, each Intercessor also bears a Bolt Pistol and Frag and Krak Grenades. Dom: Just as an overall project, I’ve loved seeing the reactions of Warhammer fans who get to see these iconic miniatures realised in new, awesome forms that meld right into the modern faction. People aren’t loving these out of pure nostalgia, they’re also amazing designs in their own right, and you could clearly imagine newcomers like the Company Heroes having always been part of the range. The fundamental coolness that made people fall in love with the originals is present and correct, and if you’re new to Warhammer 40,000, you get to experience it too.

Intercessors sadly have no way to perform quest actions for free so gates can be a nuisance but with the new maps they are still able to move all over the place. My advice is that on the first turn you should open as many gates as necessary to ease the advance. Afterward with their high wound counts your team will be able to take a lot of damage before losing models. As always, it is still recommended that you play cautiously on the first turn, taking as many victory points as possible but not risking models to unleash hell on turn 2 and onwards. What to Take? Both shoulder pads are separate and can be swapped with other kits. You have the choice between a helmet with a laurel wreath and a bare head with a bionic eye. Unfortunately, the cape is not optional, as it is fused with the left hip guard and the large purity seal.

Contents

Transhuman Physiology – Retain a normal save as a critical save. Unsurprising to see Only in Death go, and this is an ok replacement that won’t confuse anyone. Captain • Lieutenant • Chapter Ancient • Bladeguard Ancient • Company Ancient • Chapter Champion • Company Champion right arms with Heavy Bolt Pistols, 1 right arm with a Plasma Pistol, and 5 left arms with Chainswords So for Assault, you have the Company Champion, while the Veteran with a bolt rifle could easily be an elevated member of the Sternguard.

Here is the dressed up sergeant from the new kit. Looks pretty great, but doesn’t seem as dynamically posed as the Indomitus mini. With the push-fit kit, you almost don’t have to trim anything, whereas in this kit you do. He’s kind of flat, to be honest, and with way more strange angles. Size ComparisonsThose first Intercessor miniatures were themselves harbingers of a new dynamism for Space Marines, with a weighty sense of movement. This would continue into their full multi-part plastic kit , and later the even more mobile Assault Intercessors . If the Tactical Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Assault Doctrine is now active. Though I have slumbered, you will find my performance undiminished. I am an Angel of Death, and war never changes." Redemptor Dreadnought ( Brutalis • Ballistus) • Outrider Bike • Invader • Invictor • Impulsor • Gladiator • Repulsor • Repulsor Executioner • Storm Speeder • Astraeus

Efficient: Probably the word that best defines the intercessors is that they are efficient. Unlike their brothers on the Phobos kill team Intercessors have access to re-rolls, plus with some tactics they are able to hit on a 3+ regardless of whether they wounded, performing Overwatch, or standing guard. When a friendly operative incapacitates an enemy operative, reveal this objective. At the end of the battle if this operative has incapacitated more enemy operatives than any of your other operatives, score a VP. If this operative has scored more than any of the enemy operatives, score a VP. S The armour will surely continue to evolve as more challenges present themselves to the Adeptus Astartes, but one thing is certain – its roots will continue to lie with the humble Intercessor.
