About this deal

My Wireless Hair Styler arrived when expected, and it was packaged very well so there was absolutely no damage done to the Braun Hair Styler. Can anyone give me any recommendations of a good pair of units which can be left on without the crackle, give clear speech, can be charged and have good distance within a campsite. The sound quality is very good as well, we have tested them for up to 2 km range and there were no noises or breaking up. The good bits are when they're set to the same channel, they work brilliantly and the re-chargeable facility means that they are used a lot by my children, albeit with my assistance to set them to the right channels. Whether you need to communicate around the garden or on a camping trip, these radios are a great way to keep in touch.

Actually ok just at VERY close range, and mine have lived on the charge base and have suffered no ill effects.

One thing it doesn't seem to mention in the manual - is it OK to leave them on the charger permanently? I would say though that you have to make sure that 'TX' displays when the PTT button on the side is pressed down - I spent a few minutes trying to figure out why they appeared not to be transmitting). Your OP has got me thinking about these now to keep in touch with the kids when they're off playing. It is also great that they have rechargeable batteries as all parents know, if the batteries run out of a toy, we rarely remember to replace them. They don't have the distance suggested in the instructions which I think is 5km but we use them in a field down the road and can hear back at home once we're going back up the hill. For convenience, the radio has a belt clip, allowing users to securely attach it to their person or belongings, providing ease of accessibility and ensuring it does not get lost during outdoor activities or work. I've noticed its not just no CTCSS, they don't actually have any squelch control at all, so they're obviously trying to keep it simple. I read a review that it doesn't translate overseas - well they are using it in the Paris suburbs and they have had no problems yet so it must be to do with the radio signals each country uses.

The Binatone Latitude 150 two way radio has a backlit display that lets you read the data easily, even in complete darkness. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. They haven't actually run out of battery despite a few hours of being off the charger, so I would say that they keep enough charge for the time they're required by my 2 daughters.

Not sure if it is still the case, however, 10 years ago, Motorola made some of the best 2-way radios.

Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product. Short range is OK, he only wanted them for using around the garden, which looking on google maps is about 350m long. Luckily her 8 year old sister, and 10, 11 year old brothers are more than happy to help her with it (and ask me why I didn't get them a set)! I didn't bother reading the instructions, since they're just a toy, so I'm not sure whether this is supposed to happen.

With a maximum range of 3000 meters, it allows users to stay connected within a considerable distance. If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the gravity of the situation. I'd also suggest getting a pair with CTCSS, which to be basic is a method that allows communication between your lad and yourself to be private, providing both radio's are set the same. He already does have a walkie talkie but is more for play use and he hardly uses them because of the constant crackle when the units aren't in use. The Binatone Latitude 150 Twin Pack Walkie Talkie is a robust and easy to use device that can be useful in a wide range of applications.
