Certainly, seeing the events through a different perspective, there are further revelations… but the ‘that’s it? It's really long too, but that just makes it better- by the time you finish it you'll be sorry it wasn't longer. In the 17th century depicted in the book, Jesus is reincarnated as a woman; this character has an important role in the plot from the start, but only gradually is the reader made aware of her being the reincarnated Jesus.
