Most details can be traced directly to the relevant scene in Avengers: Endgame, though of course they have been pared down since this set is just one small slice of the multi-room house in the movie. The sheer quantity of different minifigure accessories stands out against any LEGO set, including as many or more as you’d often find in the largest minifigure-compatible sets.
Miek first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor: Ragnarok. Korg introduces Miek to Thor in the movie with, “This is my very good friend Miek. He is an insect and has knives for hands.” Miek appears to be a purple larval insect in Thor: Ragnarok, who wears exoskeleton armor to fight in the Grandmaster’s arena as one of the gladiators. In LEGO form, Miek is a purple printed head with two purple flowers representing his body. As he’s simply a purple lump in the movies without his armor, I’m not sure how to feel about this LEGO version of the character. He’s not shaped like a larva, but the printed head will be very useful for MOC (My own creation) builders to create his exoskeleton armor. The Accessories There’s plenty of pizza here for Bro Thor’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner!The set doesn’t look like much from the outside, and we’d have to wonder why anyone would display it this way when all the details are on the inside. That said, the messy mix of materials isn’t actually out of place for the buildings in New Asgard. Overall, Bro Thor’s New Asgard is an incredible set for it’s price-range and pieces number, you get a lot of fantastic design for your money with this one. Finally, we don’t often note the spares, but here they’re worth highlighting: more pizza and headphones, among others. — Characters —

Anyway. Once the walls are up, the rest of the set dressing can happen. There are tons of little things to catch your eye, ranging from a dark blue micro-fig trophy (that in my head-cannon is a Captain America action figure), a pitchfork, a model ship, an oar, and a wealth of bottles and pizza boxes. In the New Asgard scene, Korg is seen gaming, and is thus equipped with a video game controller, and headphones. The exterior of the home isn’t neglected, either. The door has a small stone stoop with round tile “stones” adding texture. Usually, we can put some of the deviations from a minifigure’s design down to the fact that the designers are working off of concept art ahead of a movie release. Given this set came out two-years after the movie release, however, there isn’t really a good excuse.
Break out the cold beers, pizza and get cosy as I bring you this early review of 76200 Bro Thor’s New Asgard, one of the most entertaining LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets to date! As a Marvel set, it often comes down to new characters and minifigures, and both Korg and Bro Thor do not disappoint. I would’ve liked a slightly more accurate Miek (a modified baby would be hilarious), but it was probably too cost-prohibitive to justify an all-new element or mould. In all honesty, this is a strong contender for one of the best LEGO minifigures of 2021. Bro Thor is absolutely hilarious, and is a great addition to the Marvel Super Heroes lineup. LEGO components satisfy stringent industry quality standards to ensure they are consistent, compatible and connect and pull apart correctly every time – it’s been that way since 1958.
This set straddles between almost a film set, almost a playset, and almost a display diorama. It could be a film set if it had studio lights. Most playsets are playable from both sides, so this could be turned into a playset by adding a roof and more outdoor decorations. It could be a display diorama if the floor were tiled and the walls raised higher, past the indoor decorations. The star of the show, however, is Bro Thor, the topless, casual pants wearing, overweight alcoholic God of Thunder we meet in the latter half of Avengers: Endgame. I honestly believe I could hand this minifigure to anyone who has seen Endgame without context, and they’ll know who this figure is. It’s perfect….well almost. Real Value [4]– Sets at this price point are rare, and even rarer for it to feel like LEGO didn’t cut corners Miek (the scissor alien dude) is in his larval form is technically not a minifig, but we’ll let him hang as he’s cool.All LEGO Marvel building toys provide young super heroes with premium-quality playsets designed to deliver endless imaginative play possibilities. The shirtless torso definitely does a great job of portraying this less battle-hardened version of Thor, with simple outlines showing off his chest and portly belly. Sadly, the printing which continues the bottom of the stomach on to the legs piece isn’t the same colour and that definitely lets the minifigure down somewhat. Give kids the best in imaginative play and creative display with LEGO Marvel Bro Thor’s New Asgard (76200). This multifaceted set lets young super heroes aged 7 and up relive scenes from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame movie and play out amazing adventures of their own. Since 2019, LEGO has launched multiple waves of Avengers branded LEGO sets tied to Endgame, there were two waves of direct movie tie-ins, as well as this year’s first wave of “The Infinity Saga” sub-theme, and yet Bro Thor (the topless overweight God of Thunder), Korg and Miek were nowhere to be seen, a travesty given how great that part of the movie is. That is, until now…
