About this deal

This dinosaur activity for preschoolers is a great way to hit multiple learning skills while having some fun! I needed to add this to my list because it is such a cool dinosaur activity to try with your toddlers! My 3 and 6-year-old created these dinosaurs a month ago and are still playing with them!

In a sensory bin, dump a whole bunch of different colored poms! Print off the characters and the counting cards. Cut out the characters, punch a hole in their mouth using a knife, and then cut the inside part of the mouth open. Tape the characters to a cup. For older kids, a dinosaur theme still works! There are many ways to incorporate dinosaur literacy activities, dino letter recognition, and letter formation into handwriting tasks. Some of these include dinosaur worksheets, but others do not. That’s the beauty of these ideas: you can use what you’ve got on hand to meet the individual needs of a child or classroom. Here’s the thing: fine motor skills are used every single day! They are integral to just about every occupation and a big part of what occupational therapists work on in their treatment sessions. Use the activities below to increase skills like handwriting, buttoning, zipping, typing, and more! Why NOT incorporate dinosaur fun into fine motor development?! With so many fabulously fun dinosaur ideas and activities for kids, every dino lover will be busy making, creating, playing and learning!

Dinosaur sensory bins, messy fossil digs, dino small world play, and sculpting dinosaur eggs…these sensory play ideas build skills! You can have all the eggs in a sensory bin, or you can even hide them around your home or classroom for the kids to find! These dinosaur do a dot printables are a great way to use up dot markers and keep the kids entertained. They’re perfect for preschool and kindergarten children and can help them learn about dinosaurs while they have fun. Gross motor movements are made by the “big” muscles in the body. Gross motor control allows for walking, running, bending, stooping, balance, and many other skills that we use every day. Not only are these movements great for a child’s development of strength and coordination, but they also strengthen the connection between the brain and the body – so, get those bodies moving with dinosaur fun!

Place the card in front of your child and have them create a specific letter using the bones or the q-tips. If you have an older child, you don’t have to use the cards; they can just try to build the letter on their own! This fun and easy tissue paper dinosaur craft is perfect for kids! It’s a great way to practice fine motor skills, and it’s lots of fun too. Your little ones will love getting creative and making these adorable dinosaurs. This fun and educational dinosaur memory game is perfect for kids of all ages! It’s free to print, easy to make, and a great way to teach young children how to take turns. Give it a try today!
