About this deal

Tyson also shares a side of him that few people get to see and that in the weeks before the biggest fight of his career in 2021 he was sleeping on the hospital floor in intensive care following the premature birth of his daughter Athena who was fighting for her life. This is quite jarring at times, as Tyson often belittles his competition and ascribes weakness to their character through some very subjective opinions.

From Irish traveller heritage, the "Gypsy King" is undefeated in 33 professional fights, winning 32 with 19 knockouts, and drawing once. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. The man himself says it’s just an act, designed to maximise attention and therefore viewers and profit. Funny, frank and never less than entertaining, this is Tyson Fury at his very best, as you have never read before. I was a bit dubious about reading Tyson Fury's third book or autobiography in as many years, but I enjoyed the book. What will come afterwards, just living at home with his beloved wife, Paris, and their six children? Access-all-areas and full of never-before-told stories, Tyson looks back on his life and career to examine what's really defined him: his Travelling upbringing, his fighting family (including his dad John and his half-brother Tommy), his beloved wife Paris, his 6 beautiful children, his mental health battles, his faith, his boxing rivalries and the fights, pitfalls and challenges along the way. Larger than life is all very well for the length of a boxing promotion, but it can soon become tiring in life. True showman who people either love or hate, you can only appreciate him more after reading this book.

Perhaps, but this is a guy who refers to himself in the third person and it’s just possible that the act has taken up more permanent residence in his personality. Finally, I am thankful that Tyson is happy to be candid about his own battles with his mental health. I love Tyson and what he’s achieved against all the odds just shows what strong character he really is regardless of his mental health battles. The No-Holds-Barred Autobiography Tyson pulls no punches in his most candid, comprehensive and entertaining book yet, which chronicles for the first time in full his inspirational story - the rise, the fall, and the rise again, which saw him come back from the brink of suicide to reclaim his heavyweight crown.

Tyson was victorious in the second fight against Deontay Wilder in February 2020, defeating his opponent by seventh-round technical knockout. Although, as in the previous book, he doesn’t revisit his words, he attributes them to his well-publicised mental breakdown leading up to and after his 2015 victory over Wladimir Klitschko to claim the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight crowns. Tyson's book reveals surprising and personal new sides to his character: he opens up about his fairy-tale romance with beloved wife Paris, and their down-to-earth life raising six beautiful children.

Detailing never before told stories Tyson Fury pulls no punches in his most candid and entertaining book yet.Gloves Off is not a case of bare-fisted self-exposure, but instead a carefully edited version of events.

In October 2021, Tyson concluded the trilogy with victory against Deontay Wilder by an emphatic eleventh-round technical knockout. In the meantime, he’ll be fighting British heavyweight Derek Chisora (for the third time) on Saturday 3 December. Born and raised in Manchester, Fury weighed just 1lb at birth after being born three months premature. Fascinating insight into his mental health but very similar content as the last book (money spinner? So open and honest and since watching his struggles with mental health and how honest he is about that side of his life really made me appreciate him as a person a lot. Yet while he has clearly suffered, there is also a sense that the illness is a cloak that covers all questionable behaviours, repositioning him as victim rather than perpetrator.
