Mezcal is a great ingredient on its own to be served over ice with an orange wedge dipped in chilli salt. It has a lot of depth and gravitas to it, almost similar to a smoky whiskey. It’s all down to the abundance of flavours it offers, says Manuel Lema, bar manager of Cavita in London. The brand’s portfolio consists of Tobala Mezcal and Espadin Mezcal, made using spirit from mezcal producers in San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca.

The company produces artisanal mezcal which is distilled in small batches and does not use modern technology. [5] [6] Dos Hombres is produced in San Luis del Río in Oaxaca, Mexico, and production is led by Gregorio Velasco. Tasty smoke and salinity in the finish. For 42% ABV this has a bunch of flavor and a nice warmth to it in the belly. The results are astonishing, especially the Tobalá, which is roasted with mesquite wood to produce a wonderfully smoky nose. Though it's very much a sipping mezcal, you won't regret using it in the best Paloma you've ever tasted. Trust us on that.
