Christmas is coming and of course Spinmaster have to launch another awesome product in time, or should I say WOW product? You can play with your Hatchimals WOW Llalacorn whilst she is still in the egg in three different ways including tapping on the egg, tilting and rocking the egg and cuddling. When you have two excited children in front of you desperate to start unpacking the Hatchimals WOW, I have to admit I was a bit worried they would do something wrong.

Unfortunately for us the Hatchimals WOW didnt quite live up to our expectations, but based on other reviews I think we have just been a little unlucky this time around. We used a table or worktop, so please bear this in mind or you may have some very disappointed kids.The llalacorn can also ay “I love you,” giggle, cry, sneeze, hiccup, and can let you know when she’s hungry with a tummy rumble! Her neck will shrink or grow depending on her mood and what you are playing (for example her neck might grow if she is singing and trying to reach a high note! The first thing I would say here is that I would recommend you watch the Hatchimals online video instructions first – the leaflet in the pack is extremely detailed (and in multiple languages) and not very user friendly at all.

We changed the batteries to a new set, as it is recommended after the first hatching and it still wasn’t doing anything. Then I heard about the release of Hatchimals WOW – and quite literally WOW – I was pretty impressed by the concept even as a grown up! Hold it against it's tummy and it will chase it downwards, hold it against it's forehead to chase it upwards.Spinmaster seem to come up with something fabulous every Christmas, as was the Luvabella and Luvabeau interactive dolls the previous Christmas, which captured both my girls’ imaginations. The egg comes in a big box with an instruction booklet and inside the egg is an electronic soft toy which is part llama and part unicorn. She shrinks down when she’s held; chases her accessory up and down; sings along to music; grows tall to reach the high note and more!

I found the instruction booklet quite hard to make out (especially when you have excitable children who can't wait to hatch the egg! You can re-hatch the egg, which means the excitement continues and you can do this as many times as you want. The girls were VERY excited when they first saw the giant egg and couldn’t wait to get started in hatching their Llalacorn! It’s good that you have highlighted some of the downsides though, I think the previous ones that are more exciting to hatch and that you can cuddle might be a better fit for some kids. You take the egg out of the box, and don’t forget the fruit which is hidden away in the corner of the box.Although most of the excitement of the Hatchimals Wow is hatching the egg, you can play with the egg before it hatches! I think if you are happy just to play randomly with it you will be ok, but if you are determined to make it do what it is supposed to you might struggle. As mentioned above, the Hatchimals WOW Llalacorn has over 250 sounds and reactions, and there is no right or wrong way to play.
