About this deal

I have bought a TC-Electronic Nova System from someone who accidentally connected (touched) the left output to 230v mains (oops!). Music Tribe reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this Agreement at any time. If a

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B Digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. The sound quality of the TC Electronic Nova System is very good and is what I have come to expect from TC Electronic, as this is just the latest great piece of gear that they have issued in a long line of great products. I only use this pedal with guitar, usually a Fender Stratocaster and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb amp. All of the effects on this unit are great, but I would say I definitely like the reverb and delay effects the best, with the chorus and other modulation effects coming next. Overall, all the sounds are useful and it is great to have so many great sounding effects within one powerful unit.

No provision of this Agreement, or any part of relationship between you and Music Tribe is intended to create, I have to add that I do find the setting up of this floor pedal a bit fiddly and getting my head around the level settings has made me think. I'm sure familiarity will soon make this more straightforward. I do not like the tuner! NDT - Nova Drive Technology: All-analog programmable overdrive and distortion circuit under preset and expression control. Why do I feel a little disappointed with the Nova System’s swiching system? Well you have two options, and neither of those work quite as effectively as you’d hoped. When it comes to ’verbs, people have pretty high expectations for TC Electronic. What was it like designing the Nova Reverb?

So we started thinking, “How hard can it be?” It took a little time to perfect, but once our engineers got the basic thing going, it was mainly a matter of tweaking it so it worked properly. I think it works really great, especially for faster rhythms that you can’t really tap, and for when the drummer does the counting, you can just tap the tempo without anybody listening because the pedal mutes it at the same time. That was sort of the idea behind all this – if the drummer’s doing his countdown, you just tap in the tempo and nobody knows. Third-Party Software. In the end, I settled for preset mode, with a basic bank of patches being rhythm, lead and clean. It’s not ideal as there’s still a delay when switching presets, and not near as flexible as I was hoping, agree to the updated terms, you may withdraw your acceptance to the amended terms by providing us with a In the modulation section there's everything from vintage amp style tremolo and vibrato to a slew of phasing, chorus and flanging effects, while the pitch effect offers subtle detuning and octave effects through to a full-on whammy effect if you connect an expression pedal. and any other laws that direct the application of the laws of any other jurisdictions are expressly excluded. Changes to this Agreement any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you. Updates to SoftwareWhat makes Nova System so remarkably different is the NDT - Nova Drive Technology - a unique drive and distortion circuit that gets you the best of both worlds: World-class analog distortion and overdrive with digital control. This is the real deal - no modeling. While the NDT is 100 percent analog and physically separated from the digital effects, its control potmeters are digital. This way you can tweak, store and recall as many drive settings as you want - you can even hook up an expression pedal and control the amount of distortion in real-time. Its wide gain range covers your every need from light breakup to heavy distortion. Now press and hold VARIATION key #1 to save this compression setting as one of your favorites. Note that the preset is not stored at this point, you have simply set up a favorite compression setting. So the first thing we did, obviously, was to add the tap tempo which was something we’d been able to do for a long time in our multi-effect processors, but in a pedal form it’s not common to see a phaser or a flanger with tap tempo on it. We really wanted to take it a step further, so we added an LFO trigger, or that’s at least what we called it. Basically what that means is, in a typical pedal you have the LFO running all the time, so whenever you engage the pedal, press the on switch, you have no idea where the LFO is in its cycle. That’s sort of ok if you’re using chorus or something like that - it really doesn’t matter where the LFO is. But if you’re using a hot tremolo, you want to have your guitar on the one beat, you don’t want to sound like you’re playing reggae because the LFO is in the wrong place compared to where the music is. One thing that comes to mind is the Audio Tapping feature in the Nova Delay - it lets you set a delay tempo by holding down the tap tempo switch while you play a rhythm into it. It’s very simple and there are many ways to control it. How did that develop?
