About this deal

chloe really tried to make me feel bad about aoife's life just because her dad was cheating on her mom 🧍🏻‍♀️ also the way this “plot” was left unresolved was crazy…all we learned is that tony cheats but trish still loves him 🫥

Aoife was Aoife. She is a fighter. She didn’t give up on Joey when everyone gave up on him. She was his protector with only the thought of him on her mind. When no one bothered to think or care about him, she had to take that job! Nobody would’ve been able to handle what that girl had to handle. The way she reacted to everything? It was real! It didn’t bother or annoy me because that’s just naturally her. I loved her vanity. I loved the way she loved and cared about Joey. I loved her.Joey's father wanted to name him Theodor after himself, but Joey's great-grandfather convinced him to instead name him Joseph. I also wanna mention that joeyaoife don’t give me endgame vibes like with johnnyshannon I can imagine them like 20 years from now raising there kids and still being madly in love but with joeyaoife they give me more like the first all consuming love you have in your teenage years where you lose yourself in this person and make them your world but then you grow up and realize that love isn’t supposed to be this painful or complicated. Chloe Walsh will never be able to recreate what’s she did for Johnny and Shannon and this book is proof.

Guys, don't throw me under the bus: at times I felt like Paul is more obsessive and possessive about Aoife than Joey. 👀 In a very toxic and wrong way, but it still counts in my book. 👀👀 SORRAY but half the times that asshole sounds more determined and devoted to Aoife than the actual hero. The Aoife i KNOW from my heart was when she talked to Edel. THAT was the Aoife i terribly wanted to read throughout this whole book. The strong partner and the strong woman she was which i knew from the first duet came in after the 80% mark somewhere and it's upsetting to a new level. That being said, I don't know what to make of Aoife as just... her, Aoife. It was almost like she was created specifically for Joey, which is amazing, but at times I wished that she became the main character of her own life, if you know what I mean. 👀Respectfully, as much as I love Joey as a character, I don't quite understand how and why she comes to a point (and it comes fast) when her life starts revolving around Joey. Does she even have much outside of her obsession with Joey? She's all about him, all over him and I don't think it's fair to her character. 💀 I'm glad that Aoife and Joey are just fictional characters because in real life girls with a savior complex rarely end up having a HEA.i would've preferred if joey and shannon's trauma & abuse wouldn't have been compared so often. they were in totally different situations: joey is the one taking care of his siblings. the one who gets compared to his father, yes, and shannon is a girl, with her father being a walking misogynist. she wasn't even allowed to go out. they both went through their own and shared trauma and both deserved better (obviously)!! and joey always mentioning aoife as his only reason and love but then again loving his siblings so deeply doesn't make sense to me.

I adore Joey, despite his faults and I feel like I'll come to adore Darren, too - I even think that Darren will help him out in building a better life for himself, as Darren went through the same thing. Because how dare joey take and get into drugs after a very traumatic experience and how dare he hide and try and seek the only comfort known to him. Why were there so many repetitive scenes? Aoife and Joey having so many unnecessary intimate scenes that added nothing to their relationship. The party at the beginning of the book lasted for 8 chapters and for what reason? Throughout the entire book, there were so many repetitive chapters that basically went like this: “Joey don’t leave me.” “Joey do you love me?” “I think we need space.” “Don’t hurt me.” “You’re hurting me.”to add to that, the fact that only the last 20% of this book had completely fresh content that had no connection to B13 & K13 was criminal.
