Yes I do look at google maps before going somewhere, but there again, everyone should do that, so you have an idea of where you are going before you set off, as its common sense.

I have a TomTom Go 6000 which I am not totally happy with. It takes a long time to boot up (sometimes infuriatingly repeating the process a couple of times) and has become increasingly difficult to update via USB. Once it starts, however, I don't really have any problems.
