I just couldn’t bring myself to make an entire full onesie style pig costume, I was coming off an epic month long stint of sample sewing and i was really exhausted. When the short was reissued in September 1948, the scene was re-animated with the Wolf's disguise now only including a different pair of glasses, along with the same aforementioned hat and coat. The kids’ little pig fancy-dress costume is of course based on the classic nursery rhyme: the Three Little Pigs. In this, Fifer and Piper, again despite Practical's warning, go swimming but are captured by the Wolf, who then goes after Practical only to be caught in Practical's newly built Lie Detector machine. Whilst one costume is great on it's own, the Three Little Pigs mascot costumes are guaranteed to turn heads and they complment each other too. As they are singing, the Big Bad Wolf really comes by, at which point Fifer and Fiddler reveal that they are in fact very afraid of the wolf, so the two pigs each retreat to their respective houses. It feels like ages since we’ve gone to the theatres with the kiddos to have some fun and I am so glad that one really good one is opening soon!
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. My most favourite part was when the wolf jumped into the hot pot of stew and did not listen to the pigs warnings and ended his own life.
