If your doorbell is wired to your compatible chime wiring and you lose power to the chime system, a doorbell press plays sound from the doorbell, but not from your in-home chime. To make sure the doorbell is ready for connection, remove and replace the batteries to restart the blinking Red LED. If you wish to install a wedge or corner mount to adjust your camera view, use the template from your doorbell to drill the mounting holes, and use the included shortened screws to connect the camera's back plate to the mount.

This means your doorbell is functioning in Event Response mode and is not connected to your existing chime wiring and your in-home chime will not sound when the doorbell button is pressed.If your chime system has less than 16 VAC, it will activate the chime when the doorbell is pressed, but your system enters Event Response‍ mode. Tap Agree and Continue and follow the in-app instructions to turn off electric power to the doorbell and chime and then tap Continue. The Blink Video Doorbell requires 16 - 24 volts AC at 50 - 60Hz, and 40VA maximum from mechanical or digital chime systems.

If your Blink Video Doorbell is added to your system in the app but you haven't wired it so your home's chime will ring, here are the installation instructions.
