I see no point to the travel bags; other user reviews have noted that Burley is not a luggage manufacturer and that parts like the shoulder straps are uncomfortable. Election time is a good opportunity to get some as candidates hand them out free but you can usually find a few abandoned signs advertising services/products along the main streets in any city. It even works for bikeshare services (such as NYC’s Citibikes), as you don’t need any tools to attach the trailer. The Upper Market Bag, Lower Market Back, Transit Messenger Bag and Transit Backpack are designed to work seamlessly with the Travoy. The Burley Travoy trailer is so functional we even packed it on a holiday where no bikes were being packed.

With a weight capacity of 60 pounds, a sturdy kickstand, and the ability to fold down to the size of a briefcase, the Travoy folding bike trailer is all about turning everyday errands into an excuse to get outside on your bike. The Travoy Rack Mount is an available option for those who need to mount their trailer to a bike rack. Because of those potential difficulties, it would be nice if Burley sold a seat post hitch that simply extended from your bike at a higher angle instead. Similarly, Burley doesn’t really support people carrying anything but its designated bags on the Travoy, which underestimates its true capabilities.When fitted with the Qeedo Quick Case, as shown in the review, the storage volume is 45 l for the lower box and 20 l for the upper box. The trailer attachment point sticks sometimes, particularly on the Brompton, which holds the Travoy at a slightly different angle than Burley seems to have intended. This bag clipped to the sides and allowed us to suspend our groceries off the bottom of the trailer.

You can tow anything from boxes, groceries to golf clubs thanks to two adjustable clip-on load-bearing straps. But as someone who uses e-bikes as veritable car (and subway) replacements rather, I need to be able to run most of the errands I’d regularly do using a larger vehicle. So anyway yes, this can be done, and yes, it will also almost certainly inspire some drive-by parenting, but then again, what doesn’t? Between each section there is a twist handle which allows the sections to hinge and fold flat against each other for storage.The final section is an extension bar which hooks onto your bike, this can be folded down flat when being wheeled by hand. Fiddling around to line up the poppers on the top case can be a bit embarrassing in situations like this.As more and more people are turning to bicycling to run errands and commute, there’s a greater demand to be able to carry items like groceries, a laptop or clothing. The same thing happened when carrying a bag of concrete of just 25 kilos, just under the weight limit.
