Tones of red berries and vanilla follow and ageing of a minimum of 2 years helps bolster the intense smoothness of the drink. Bright and fruity from first opening, Hennessy also has undertones of oak and once in the mouth flavours of nutty grilled almonds and a hint of fresh grapes are released. It’s a 10 year ageing process which ensures Gran Centenario Plata is a silver tequila with depth and standout characteristics which make it memorable.

It is a superb accompaniment to dessert dishes, especially fruit, cakes, chocolate puddings and soft cheeses.

This is then chill filtered to carefully remove any other impurities for an exceptionally clean sip with a creamy mouthfeel and mildly sweet flavour. Created using traditional artisan methods that a distiller of over 100 years ago would recognise in bespoke copper batch pot stills and unique 70 foot rectification column (the tallest in Europe). The spirit is then diluted with pure water that is taken from the aquifer underneath the orchard to around 50% ABV.
