About this deal

Dinosaurs live on a separate continent to the humans, however as resources become ever more scarce by the second and living conditions worsen, the government decides to try and identify the dinosaurs’ DNA and create biological weapons to eradicate them. Storm named one of the friendlier ones Milo and I loved him- they have a history which is explained well and it stands in contrast to everything the people are told of dinosaurs being mindless and who only eat people. It was impossible to put down my conclusion:I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling read full of mystery and fantasy! Seriously though, she’s referred to as Storm for the majority of the book, and I can deal with that, so why bother with the ridiculousness of ‘Stormchaser’ in the first place? Set after the events in The Extinction Trials, we see Storm and Lincoln adjust to life after the trials in Piloria.

However, upon reading the book I was delighted to learn that the book does live up to its description. There isn’t actually much romance though, though it’s definitely hanging in the air and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in the sequels. None of it really made sense until I came to chapter 5 when it started talking more about the work these citizens do. I’m really not a big dinosaur fan (except Land Before Time haha) but this book sounds really cool so I might keep an eye out for it! The only hope for humankind’s survival seems to lie with a desperate and disparate group of youngsters prepared to sacrifice everything for the sake of those they love.

Basic Plot: Resources are scarce, a vast understatement, on the continent of Earthasia, where the entire human race, or what is left of it, lives. I’m not really surprised at how much exaggeration an attractive book cover, a grand title and an equally dramatic and well-put synopsis can create.

Stormchaser and Lincoln find themselves back on Piloria, very quickly after their first visit, but this time with three viruses to kill off the most deadliest dinosaurs. Overall, this book is just incredible, exciting and the perfect novel for dystopian fans who want to try something different. I love his story arc and character development, the reader gets to know him better during this book and realise there’s so much more to him.You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I love that Storm sees the Hadrosaur baby and instantly notices its bond with the mother, rather than the fact that it could easily crush her.

They add this tournament/arena-fighting/trials/games shit in every book now even if it makes no sense. The second book in the heart-stopping The Extinction Trials trilogy, for fans of The Hunger Games and Jurassic Park. It’s poorly built and that’s infuriating double-time because the book boasts of being similar to the Hunger Games.

Storm (the main character) who lives in a shelter all alone, wants to get out of her trashy poor life. So, we're following Stormchaser and Lincoln - I loved reading from different pov's and reading about their different intakes on everything regarding the story-line and it's development - who form a team with some other finalists to expand their chances of succes. Riddle really is the breadcrumb master, leading the trail through the dark forest of Grimm like tales but unlike those tales the end is never that obvious and twice as astounding.
