stars in terms of quality of writing and creepiness of the stories, but there was a LOT of racism in here, even for 2006. Especially when we know where we are going the whole time and are not surprised when we reach the end. We then learn that the boy himself is an inmate of the asylum, and was out on day release for the first time after being committed to the asylum for pushing his older brother in front of a train and killing him. The Man with the Yellow Face haunts a sinister photo booth, but is he maybe trying to tell you something?

Troublesome young people being taught a terrible lesson seems to be a continuous theme for Anthony in this book.

It turns out however that she has been sold as meat to a restaurant for cannibals, in a very uninspired twist. Nine short and snappy tales horror regarding haunted objects and terrible children getting their just deserved. Imagine for a moment a ten or eleven year old kid who has not had any exposure to reading other than Enid Blyton and Hardy Boys trying his hand at an unabridged version of Dracula. I feel it was a confusing version of “killer camera” with a haunted object causing misfortune to the user. I liked the nonchalant tone Anthony uses prior to the crash as many misfortunes in life often often occur without warning.

He manages to find them and is relieved to hear that they have not taken any pictures of each other – until he is told that his brother took a picture of the London skyline. My favourite story was about brother who went to a halloween party but the person who was ment to bring them home left without them so they get the night bus but the bus was very weird because it was in a coin of the olden days and everything was old when people started to get in they were like zombies but cause its halloween they dont care until they dont let them get out so they have to simp out of a bus . Me ha gustado, me ha recordado mucho a la series que veía de niña “Le temes a la oscuridad” y “Escalofríos”.

A take on the classic tale ‘The Monkey’s Paw’ (which is referenced here, albeit attributed to Edgar Allen Poe rather than W. The pre-loved books are carefully cleaned and maintained offering a wide variety of general and specialist titles from children's to adults. He becomes bored with the idyllic existence, and wants to move to Hell – but it is revealed he was there all along (this story is similar to the Twilight Zone episode " A Nice Place to Visit").
