About this deal

Really good monitor that I am currently using in a 2 screen set up, also came with a display port cable.

Blacks look gray when viewed in the dark, and there's no local dimming feature to improve it either. We’ll always treat your data with respect - you can find more details on how we will use your data in our Privacy Policy here. I have not noticed any dead pixels yet and the colour for a TN panel is fine but as expected does not match the blacks from an IPS panel. The HP is better in terms of usability because it has wider viewing angles, gets brighter to combat glare, and its stand provides a lot more ergonomic adjustments. The static contrast shows the ratio between the brightest and the darkest color, which the display can reproduce simultaneously, for example, within one and the same frame/scene. To ensure that we can reconcile your payment quickly please make sure you follow the instructions carefully and include a reference with your payment.

It has a slightly quicker response time than 'Level 1', and there's too much overshoot on the faster settings. Within minutres I had been pased to HP, sent them 5 photos of the problem, and within 2 hours a replacement like-for-like new monitor had been agreed, with the remainder of a 24 month guartantee included. Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. We check our bank account for new payments every day but depending on your bank it can take 1–2 business days for your payment to appear. If you want your inks and toners guaranteed next business day, then Next Business Day Guaranteed is available. This is provided for reference only and should not be used, as the calibration values vary per individual unit even for the same model due to manufacturing tolerances. Brightness takes some set up and so does the 144hz options ensure that you play about in your display settings to get the most out of the monitor.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. It displays bright colors well due to its high peak brightness, but with a low contrast ratio, it struggles with darker colors. The operating temperature shows the safe temperature range (from minimum to maximum), within which the display will function flawlessly.

Although the HP X24ih is a gaming monitor, it has a more office-oriented design with an all-black body. Lastly, the Acer supports HDR, while the HP doesn't, but it doesn't add much since it can't display a wide color gamut and has low HDR peak brightness.

The HP has an IPS panel with wider viewing angles, and it also has a much quicker response time that results in smoother motion. This variant has height adjustment, but there's an X24i model that doesn't have it and may not have the ability to rotate into portrait mode either.

The stand has a curved top plate, which is a bit different from the flat stands on other HP monitors we've tested. The HP X24ih and the ViewSonic XG2402 are two great gaming monitors, but the HP is better for other uses. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio.
