About this deal

Finally, we add two structural embeddings which tell the model where a given musical sample is within the larger musical piece.

His life is very similar to how artists used to live and work in 19th-century Europe, and in a way I almost feel a connection to Van Gogh, who also struggled to make it. Beautifully painted (of course), this promises to be a charming tale of humour, art, and adventure, as the little mouse grows to find his meaning and place in the world. Augment timing (when using the absolute time in seconds encoding), effectively slightly slowing or speeding up the pieces. Kickliy’s fluid ink and watercolors evoke the magic of the period and the country setting for the story.

This tale, recently translated from French to English by Uncivilized Books, is set in 19th century France and stars a nameless mouse who happens upon Monet's garden in Giverny.

Words like pernicious, suffice, superb, concede, mantra, and revolutionary are used and French phrases and sound effects are in the background.

A few days after reading Musnet, my eldest asked if I would get a canvas for him and if he could do some painting. We also tried two different methods of marking the passage of time: either tokens that were scaled according to the piece’s tempo (so that the tokens represented a musical beat or fraction of a beat), or tokens that marked absolute time in seconds. And be sure to enter our Instagram giveaway to win all four of Kickliy's head-over-heels charming books from Uncivilized Books plus a copy of Illustoria Issue 6 Symbols!

The unnamed (until the very end), orphaned main character mouse is looking for work and a home and unintentionally winds up on Monet’s estate in Giverny, France. Take a friendly and likable orphaned mouse, place him in a beautifully rendered watercolor and ink medium with miniature Monet masterpieces and you get a stunning and engaging story of a mouse learning to become an artist. This book will appeal especially to young readers (ages 8 and up) who show an interest not just in painting, but in any of the arts. Also on the property is a friendly mouse family who takes the main character in and a cantankerous, old artist squirrel name Remi (cough, Rembrandt) who the main character apprentices with.

This new series revolves around a painting mouse found in Monet’s famous gardens in Giverny: the nameless, orphan mouse is befriended by Mya and her mouse family, who live inside the artist’s house. Musnet is drawn and painted in a beautiful, lush and inky style popularized by Paul Pope and French comics masters such Blutch and Christophe Blain.
