About this deal

The problem with these somewhat soapy/fresh make-everyone-happy scents is that they can come off boring and junevile. My expectations were quite high given the praise by a couple of “key” reviewers for me, but it easily surpassed them, and I think Bentley and Firmenich couldn’t really do better than this. The funny thing is that it creeps up upon you unnoticed, the first spray is like "BANG", and you think that it will reduce its power with time, but WROOOONG, it then goes on and on and on. I picked this up after Bentley Intense and Absolute because the notes looked great and I was just so psyched about the brand at that moment.

Unfortunately, it is my least favorite of the Bentley lineup, and at the end of the day, I just don't love it.Bentley For Men is awesome if you are looking for a smooth, warm, boozy, and spicey masculine fragrance. Then, when the violet kicks in more, it's a mix of (again) Gentleman only with a touch od Fahrenheit.

The ultimate in luxury, Bentley For Men was initially launched exclusively at Harrods in 2013 and the noses of the most renowned French perfume houses have developed each scent since. The initial impression (mostly due to the violet, I imagine) is one of a clean-laundry airiness, with perhaps a less obvious dewy aspect. If you've ever accidentally chewed a bay leaf in a stew you'll recognise this, but it mainly manages to avoid smelling foody. It seemed familiar, and took me a little while to realize where I had smelled it before - Givenchy Gentlemen Only. The base notes are sensuously accompanied by musk and benzoin Siam which convey a feeling of comfort and warmth. The sweet tangerine might aim a bit more toward spring and summer time, but to me it is not dominant enough to exclude this from a winter wear. Bentley Fragrances has now developed a fascinating new fragrance composition as an exclusive edition: Bentley For Men Azure. A reason why I prefer this to the Intense is because Intense can very easily fall apart like another of Nathalie Lorson's creations - Lalique Encre Noire a L'Extreme.

The fragrance develops itself through the heart stage with a woody and dry accord , a mild sweetness, and sustaining a fainter earthiness. This fragrance might not be for everybody but those appreciate a warm rich oriental masculine scent- you will love this! I was very impressed witrh Silverlake, but the OG and Intense are disappointig to the point I regret the purchase. I have Armaf Tag Him (supposedlya Bleu de Chanel clone), and this is very similar to that but a little sweeter, and a little better performance. So it could benefit from more citrus and earthiness, especially more moss, and if I got all my Christmas wishes they'd swap the violet for iris.It is an olfactory bomb with a huge projection and duration, but I really can't handle it, it even stuns me: too much like liqueur.

which is often the case due to hype, Bentley is nearly identical in its boozy sweetness, minus the powdery smoky incense. This is interesting because of how much "boozy" is mentioned (to cite rum is to say there are tropical fruit, dark sugar, and even "funky" terroir tones). I'm sure sure lots of you will be curious about this as Bentley release good value fragrances and this one looks interesting. Bentley for Men Intense Eau de Parfum 100ml is a rugged and masculine scent that’s perfect for special occasions.
