About this deal

From the sides we can see that the heatsink is made out of 68 aluminum fins (and of course the black shroud which improves cooling efficiency by keeping air between the fins).

Still since HTPC/SFF models shouldn’t be used with our overclocked Core I7-3930k we have decided to take this path whenever one such model lands at our doorstep. In the center-most picture, it shows that there is only 26mm of height under the HSF but my digital calipers measured roughly 30-31mm (it’s an odd angle to capture). Going back over the design, rehashing all of the thermal and audio results, we do have to say that we are satisfied with what we have seen.

With a few years of abusing computer parts, he decided to take his chances and try to get a review job. Enter the MK-13 VGA cooler, a massive cooler utilizing six 6mm heat-pipes, and a fairly universal mounting mechanism. The large nickel plated copper base features a mirror like finish as you can see from the above picture.

Mix in rubber vibration dampeners built right into the fan and this is a much-needed upgrade to say the least. This will allow for a stable temperature reading that will be recorded at the end of those 15 minutes. The aluminum fins to extend past the bracket with a bit of style to the trailing edges, and we can make out the base of the cooler under it all.The first picture for the LGA1700 socket appears to be wrong, too, because it shows offset screw holes, but the actual LGA1700 bracket is the one with only one screw hole on either side and no offset.

I'm going to upgrade my 3600 to a 5800x and am wondering if my current CPU cooler, the Scythe Big Shuriken 3, is enough for cooling the 5800x? Use of these and any missed payments may affect your ability to obtain credit from Klarna and other lenders. The product name “Big Shuriken 3”, socket compatibility, and Scythe’s logo are all displayed on the front of the box.

After plotting the data, I was honestly surprised by how well it performed compared to the other heatsinks. Using the correct set of universal brackets, we installed them on top of the black spacers as per the instructions, where they go on the sides of the CPU socket.
