finally as it sits for over an hour on my skin, it really smells like a vanilla marshmallow in the best way possible. GS smells kinda boozy and dandy on me but with this on top is smells like sweet caramel heaven, I might start licking my arm.

I initially tried all the current Sol De Janeiro scents, and this one had the strongest impression on me - the most gourmand of all. I do agree that it might be settling weirdly at about the 5 hour mark and giving off a weird urine-y type smell.

Fortunately, it mellowed out very quickly but there was a good few minutes where I thought I was going to have to go take a shower to get this off me. It can be easily layered with more potent, warmer, fragrances for more oomf, or kept as is for a simple everyday scent. i initially quite liked the waxy, biscuity smell (it's like a macadamia christmas candle), but after a couple hours it fades into a strange urine-y smell. Hard to detect on my skin, instead I find it sits in the air surrounding me and I get clouds of rich caramel, browned butter and nuts drifting over me as I move around. I must also note that this fragrance is sweet but for those who do not want it to come off as shoddy, do not worry as it definitely smells expensive. Soft and sultry, Cheirosa '40, mingles gourmand notes of black amber plum and dark yet sweet crème de cassis with warm vanilla woods, fresh jasmine blooms, and a hint of musk to reveal a sophisticated fragrance. Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa '71 is similar to that release but more, a LOT more, CARAMEL - and I mean really good caramel too!

Coco cabana lotion from this line would also smell like buttered popcorn + coconut so I don’t know what’s happening here. I cannot fathom wearing this during the warmer months of the year, which is probably why I'm not head over heels in love it. the longevity is probably the best out of all the other Sol de Janeiro i've tried, which honestly i dislike as said cookies start to go stale if left out too long. I'm not sure about the coconut notes as well as the popcorn vibe people say it has, but it smells like Honey O's cereal. very very strong caramel popcorn scent that smells sweet when you spray it, but when it dries down it smells greasy, like the vanilla was deep fried in burnt popcorn juices mixed with oily chocolate cereal essence, and honestly its not terrible at all.

I think this smells nice, but honestly, I think I will enjoy it a lot more during Thanksgiving and Christmastime, when I actually enjoy smelling like candy and baked goods. Turns out that since I only use this during the winter time and then retire it for the rest of the year, when I come back to it the following winter it smells EXTREME. A deliciously voluptuous hair and body fragrance with warm and welcoming notes of caramelized vanilla and toasted macadamia nut to satisfy every craving.every single time i've worn this i've had people (both friends AND MOSTLY STRANGERS) comment that i smelled delicious/like a bakery!

it can be super super sweet and nauseating at first but just wait for the dry down and it becomes this yummy chocolatey scent. it's seriously so intense i keep smelling it on myself and my clothes even on the hottest summer days! did ask some people around me if i smelled like pee and they said i didn't, but i continue to catch a faint aura of pee regardless.

I have the big bottle (not by choice) that I plan to use this winter and I will pear it with Angel Muse and Choco Musk.
