I think anyone who’s survived a month, six months, a year of parenting knows that parenting doesn’t go easier or harder on you because of your gender. A few years ago my dad moved in with my mom to help her pay for her house (yes they are divorced and yes they did move back in for financial reasons and no it did not work well at all) mostly because she’s bad with money. They sometimes ask silly questions but silly is their way of understanding why the world is the way it is.

My lesbian moms embarrass me everywhere we go so much that I’m ashamed to go anywhere with them (I am a teen, but I swear that’s not why I’m embarrassed even my friends agree that my moms are way more embarrassing than most parents.

So often we think we can’t and then when it gets difficult, we just hand the child off to our wives and we continue to feel like we suck. should we add this to our list for the next time we have the “Why does dad suck conversation” cause your not understanding us!I’m certain my dad’s emotional immaturity stems from his mom’s — our grandma — death from stroke when he was twelve.
