About this deal

I'm looking forward to seeing some pics, I doubt it has 400x mag because some real scientific usb digital microscopes max out at that level but as long as it can max at like 160x thats more than enough. I think this product could be improved, though, if a tripod device was included because it’s quite difficult to take a clear picture with even the slightest movement of either the person holding the microscope or the object being photographed. downside is, im not sure how practical it is, and you dont really need the 200x and 400x for obvious reasons.

Hi All, In my experience, the most magnification needed for nib 'work' is about x15, I use two different 'loupes', one is x8, and the other is a x10 Triplet, the x10 magnifies enough for everything I do. While the very clever design of this toy gives my child the convenience of bringing it around and point at different things.I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. We brought it with us on hiking trail and our children had fun pointing it at leaves and flowers and ants, allowing their curious minds to explore and learn about different structures.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. As it says in the description "Includes the Eyeclops Digital Microscope, 512MB MicroSD card, and USB cable. while i do not(yet) repair pens myself, i have something that may be useful when adjusting nib tines. but aside from that fact, the eye clops is not saying 400x objectives, but 400x magnification total. In fact, given my low expectations for toy telescope/microscope on general, this one works way better than I thought, which was a pleasant surprise.a pen mount is optional but will free up both hands and keep you from having to adjust it to keep it a sharp image. another downside is the need to hold the pen and the microscope, unless you can figure out a mount for the scope and pen, because its a bit tricky to adjust the pen correctly to the microscope at such high magnifications.

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. it has lights built in to light up the object, a screen showing the magnified object, and can take picture or video, if need be you need to post it somewhere. Really couldn’t expect more out of a toy microscope that has so far been quite durable (think we’ve lightly dropped once or twice but still working! It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc.I know 40x objective and 10x viewing is 400x mag thats why I said it cause it just doesn't seem like its as powerful as a microscope at 400x mag also I don't think that kind of magnification would be possible on a handheld device or useful as the focus would be incredibly hard to stabilize. The magnification is great and the digital pictures that come up on the screen is crisp and clear, and really shows the make up of different textile, material, almost like a real scientific microscope! If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments. The Eye Clops microscope is a handheld digital microscope, and does 100x, 200x, and 400x magnification. its a bit of a pain to use because the whole front turns, so you have to take it off the object and stuff.
