About this deal

I too have recently reconnected with my film roots and have been using Fuji C200 excusively for the obvious reason of its ubiquity (for now at least) and cost. Brumidi's design left many spaces open so that future events in United States history could be added. Check out Maria Louceiro's photos from her recent hiking trip and see how she uses the experimental features of the LomoApparat, along with our color-shifting films to turn the cliffs and ocean into out-of-this-world scenes. If the positivity makes you want to grab some Fujicolor C200 / 200 for yourself, you’re not going to find it hard to track down.

The final scenes depicted in the fresco had not yet occurred when Brumidi began his Frieze of the United States History. It’s not like a JCH Street Pan 400, or a CineStill 800T, or a Kodak Ektachrome E100; all of which genuinely are special in their own ways, and are often used to shoot their own specialised kind of photography. It’s a great starting point when you first get into shooting film and should help you get to grips with some of the essentials. If you have a place local to you that sells a large variety of film off the shelf, they probably should have this.

And when that trip turned into a surprise trip to Japan, the low-pressure, high-volume nature of cheap consumer film meant that I could loosen up and shoot away at nearly everything. By choosing C200, I wanted to see if consumer films could still do that for me, even as an experienced shooter. This Halloween season, enter director Obayashi’s fantasy horror world as created in his 1977 debut feature film “House” with the ever-experimental LomoApparat and Lomography Color Negative 800 film. When shooting in nature on a sunny day I sometimes prefer this film over more expensive options because I know that the foliage will pop. Designed for flexibility and ease of use, C200 works equally well outdoors in daylight or indoors with flash. For these subjects, the colors are not as bold as other films in the same league, so it may not provide a very appealing first impression. Hugging the Block is a community market composed of BIPOC and first-gen Latino immigrant entrepreneurs in California. I could get lots of shots, but those shots wouldn’t be nearly as clean, or characterful, or interesting as if I’d made them on higher-cost film, right? Designed for flexibility and ease of use, Fujicolor C200 35mm works equally well outdoors in daylight or indoors with flash. Despite the lush greens the yellows of the poles in the shade and light appear dull which is totally the opposite of Ektar .

It dates back to around 1990, although it was updated in 2017 with Fuji’s super fine grain technology. The murals, known as the Brumidi Corridors, reflect great moments and people in United States history. And the tent is not only beginning to fold, but is completely collapsing, especially for the average everyday film shooter. Consumer market films are more forgiving so you can over and under expose a decent amount and still get usable results.I am a degreed film photographer and have been continuously been shooting film since the 1980’s and I am now a high school film photography teacher running a 20 enlarger film lab. In terms of grain quality, the Fujicolor c200 definitely features fine grain, although I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it has “the kind of image quality and clarity as you’d expect from an ISO 100 film”. I have no problem with smashing it round to get what I want - it's either me or the standard profiles that someone else wanted, and I'd rather it was me.

Whilst the Fisheye Baby 110 is small and simple, don’t let that fool you – it delivers truly breathtaking Lomographic snapshots full of vignettes, light leaks and good old analogue charm. Filipina photographer and graphic designer, Lia Candelario, shares with us the wonderful photos from her first time shooting with our LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 35 mm film. CameraWorld is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, registration number 689327. If you appreciate things for what they are and use them for what they were made for, I put forward that C200 is, just like all of those other films just mentioned, special in its own way. Also, evidently you used to be able to get Superia 400, Reala, etc in medium format as well and it’s a great disappointment to me that I never got to shoot it, hoping for 120 Solaris too! Anyone starting film photography on a budget will definitely not splurge for Velvia, Portra or Ektar…. This is very typical of bad 90s photos because the little cameras had flashes that would overexpose and blow close highlights while underexposing everything past about 15 feet. And the red in the dress of the couple shot - can't help but think "Damn that would have been nicer in Portra" So there you go! This article interested me very much as I still like using my film cameras and regularly use C200, Superia 400 and the “re-branded” Agfa Vista 200.
