About this deal

I had a couple of hours where I didn't feel quite so wreched today, so I soldered up a couple of little pin holes I'd found on the outer seam of the tank.

Oh, BTW, before anyone has a panic attack about me running what is in essence a camping stove inside the house. Boosts the corrosion protection of coatings applied to steel that has been cleaned by blast cleaning or other methods. That thing should kick out double the heat of this one, but the lids significantly further away from the flame. Low viscosity wets out corrosion for full conversion and facilitates penetration of flanges and seams. Yeah, I'm fixing it up to use, in case we DO get these rolling power cuts the government's been hinting at ! Please note that we do not take responsibility for any packages that are left safe or with a neighbour.

I still need to tidy up the wick carrier and paint a load of little bits, but I think the worst of the works done (Or lightly bodged well enough) for now, and the rest should be reasonably easy tasks. Please note we’ll be closed for the Christmas holiday from the 22nd of Dec 2023 until the 2nd of Jan 2024. In my experience with Hydrate 80, rust started to come back again after 6 months, so it wasn't a durable solution for me. Having spent time putting really nasty chemicals through piping systems at significant pressure, mixing ferrules can be a bad experience.I did think of coating things with a grease to keep flash rusting at bay, but was worried about the painter not removing it completely and ruining the paint job. The long-term performance of hydrate 80 has been proven to significantly increase coating life in independent tests conducted by the German TÜV organisation under conditions of VDA 621-415 (6 cycles, or 1008 hrs) which included exposure to hot salt-spray, 100% relative humidity and drying atmospheres with each cycle lasting 168 hours. The cross-linking polymer formulated to provide the tough non-rubbery barrier tenaciously grips the metal surface forming an ideal base for further coatings, paints or anticorrosion wax. We will make your colour to specification, however, when added to different products the colours will be represented differently. You need to apply two coats as per the instructions and then once dry there’s no residue and you can paint straight over the top of it. Also, what kind of temperatures could whatever it turns rust into take once it had finished reacting? Wash hands with soap and water after contact and in case of contact with eyes wash with plenty of running water and seek medical attention. However, like with anything, you need to make sure it's cleaned rust and there is nothing lose left on the surface. Tested by the German TUV organisation and proven to provide performance equalling primers applied to clean steel. Proven long-term rust prevention over partially prepared surfaces – massively increases the life of paint applied to partially cleaned steel. a sanding pen (if larger i use a wire drill to take the worst of) then only first when i start to see some clean/bare metal i take out number 2; Phosphor acid. Surprisingly, the Deox-C actually seems to soften it up to the extent that a scotchbright pad will take it off without much work.

This old house apperes to have more than enough natural ventilation (Read "Horrendous ice cold drafts") to keep the level well below the accepted 9ppm safe constant limit. Bilt Hamber hydrate 80 provides powerful protection to rusted steel surfaces, its electrochemical function stabilises existing corrosion by converting the iron oxides into a protective metal complex, it also combines with surface moisture and oxygen depriving the corrosion process of the conditions it requires. It also combines with surface moisture and oxygen, depriving the corrosion process of the conditions it requires. If I paint it onto bare metal, but panels you can see, can fillers and paint to over the top of it trouble free?

Our Deox range of rust removers are capable of removing heavy rust, yet remain safe to use with no danger to skin or the environment. Importantly for long-term protection Hydrate-80 doesn’t contain chlorine which is known to transform into corrosive hydrochloric acid in rust converter applications causing under-film blistering and destruction of paint finishes or other coating products. Not to diss Hydrate 80 as that also have a place in the world, but for a project like descriped, i would use phosphor acid 100% If you are having problems with it sticking, i have used (i don´t know the exact english word) but its something along; wallpaper pastes? I feel like I have tooth ache all up the back of my legs, and past experience says I'll be fit for nothing for at least a couple of days now. I also managed to snap 4 tiny little brass screw head bolts off in equally small brass threaded inserts on the heaters cage.
