About this deal

Unfortunately, however good the produced loaf will be, the poor design of those pan holding clips mean that I am not terribly confident about using the timer function. Then, don't use more than a tea spoon of sugar because too much sugar can make the yeast produce a huge airbubble inside the dough, producing bad results. The breadmaker comes with accessories including a larger-than-average measuring cup and an unusual adjustable spoon: slide the plastic inner to measure half or whole teaspoons and tablespoons of ingredients. The machine wasn't supplied with adequate program chart of the procedures it does and at which time and for how long.

Even though I had looked at other places for bread makers, when I saw this one at Lakeland - I had confidence. Flour types are different in every country so make sure u know what kind of flour is used in the recipe, and then calculate it in volume (desilitres) and then calculate the weight how it corresponds to the flour available in your country. The bread pan takes a certain knack to fit and twist into place, which I never quite got used to, but the bread maker’s control panel is easy to use. I have tried a variety of loaves and my ultimate favourite is the sundried tomato which has a little parmesan cheese that makes for a crispy and tasty crust. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Programme times: white 4 hours, wholemeal 5 hours based on large sized loaf with medium crust colour. Take advantage of the 15-hour delay timer or, if you're short of time, the 85-minute ECO bake programme is one of the fastest around, saving you time and money.

The standard recipes are simple enough; they require skimmed milk powder, but this is easy to get hold of and cheap. The love-or-loathe design is unusual, white with a retro-style handle for the lid, reminiscent of a 1950s fridge.

Freshly baked bread is yours for the asking with this simple-to-use bread maker, with a new fan-assisted baking system for their best bread yet. Mine has produced excellent bread, no problems with the pan moving, indeed I have trouble in removing it. The Kenwood BM450 has 15 programmes for bread, doughs, cakes and jams, and a rapid bake setting for a fresh loaf of bread in as little as 58 minutes. Before putting everything into the bread maker, use warm water (make sure it is not hot cause yeast will be dead by the time you put the yeast into hot water)(water is the amount stated in the recipe), add in sugar (if receipe does not require sugar, just add a tbsp will do) into warm water, and add in yeast (amount stated in recipe).

The company replaced the Breadmaker the next day but the new one had a similar fault, this time the bread pan jammed on the second use. A sweet buttery bun also known as ‘pain au lait’, this is fairly simple to make but can be made more challenging by shaping into longer rolls and experimenting with slashing on top. Having read all the reviews on the Kenwood 250 breadmaker I am beginning to wonder if we are all talking about the same machine.
