About this deal

Kiss to Salvage is the continuation of Jade and Prescott’s story and takes place right after the events of Kiss to Shatter. But it wasn’t without its issues, given Jade and Prescott's fights with their constant back and forth, pushing and pulling.

Jade and Prescott are recurring characters in the series, and ever since the novella that previewed their relationship came out, I've been looking forward to their story! This was a really good emotional angsty beginning for Jade and Preston’s story their chemistry is explosive they are both so broken but find comfort in each other this story is so heartbreaking and emotional it’s probably one of my favorites from Anna to date it’s well written full of angst and pain the steam was really good and a shocking ending that has me wanting more ! There’s just something so special about characters NOT being perfect and having real flaws that makes you want to keep cheering them on.As well as when it came to their own hidden personal inner demons, which they were fighting along the way too. The last book ended with such a cliffhanger, and I was so excited to see how the story continues and this book really wrecked me, and I felt all the emotions. I know this review is pretty vague, but I don’t want to give anything away as you just have to read Jade and Prescott’s story to really feel it and believe it!

It can be read as a standalone but I strongly recommend you start from the beginning of the series as characters and relationships are interconnected, and the world-building is extensive. We saw some of the trauma that she was dealing with then, and the wounds are far from being completely healed now, just a few years having passed since her and Nixon’s mom died from cancer. I don’t have cancer and my partner isn’t a football player, but I still saw pieces of myself, of us, in each character. I also would recommend reading the series prior - especially Kiss To Forget, because that's where Jade is first introduced and gives us a better understanding of her world and what she's been through.

But happiness doesn’t come easily and Jade and Prescott both deal with so much and I just wanted to give them a hug or do anything to take away a bit of their pain. Fortunately, the second and final installment will release in a few short weeks because I am desperate to find out what will happen next. Again not trying to be biased because it’s an ARC but please stop reading my review and go get this book when it launches. He not only puts immense pressure on himself to perform on the field and in school and his parents put pressure on him to fill the shoes of someone he can never be.

Both are broken under the surface, but won’t allow anyone in, as they are each just as stubborn as the other and don’t need to rely on anyone else. I will warn you Kiss To Shatter ends on a massive cliff-hanger that leaves you wanting two things, 1. Jade and Prescott are unable to be in the same space without fighting, sniping and arguing regardless of what happened onthwir summer holiday their simmering hatred has only heated up. Then she’s tossed into the deep end at work, tasked with cleaning up a scandal for the intimidatingly chic luxury fashion firm Celeste. It is on the longer side and it deals with some heavy subjects, but it is very engaging and doesn't feel long and has good pacing.

Although I found her reckless personality a little frustrating at times, the reasoning behind her behaviour is understandable. We get all of the answers to those loose ends that were left open at the end of the first book and so much more. Just in book one we have brother best friend, college, sports, a pill addict, asshole parents, dead mom (caner), dead brother (cancer), and more cancer. Jade is Prescott's best friend's little sister which means she's always been off limits but that has never been a problem until now! This book picks up right where the last book left off, and after that cliffhanger I am so glad it did! They shared a lot of raw moments and tried to help each other and get better, but in the end, they realized they needed time apart to heal on their own.
