About this deal

This review will be about the MXR Carbon Copy and will represent my experience and subjective opinion about this wonderful delay pedal. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. The Carbon Copy has a very smooth and musical characteristic that fills in space without cutting through the rest of the mix. Housed in the classic “Phase-90-size” casing, if you’ve had any experience with MXR pedals you’ll know that these things are as tough as they come. The Tap Division feature, with an easy-to-read status display, gives you four different subdivisions: dotted 8ths, 8ths, triplets, and 16ths.

The Carbon Copy Deluxe also has a subdivision control which means you can split the repeats into dotted 8th, 8th, 16th notes or even triplets. All done by a completely analog audio path for authentic rich, warm analog delay - made possible only by old-school analog bucket brigade technology. And, the best thing is that all it takes is a simple twist of a knob to unlock all of these amazing features. Overall this unit really fattens up the steel tone and does for standard guitar what an echoplex would in my application as far as straight slapback echo. Inside the pedal, you'll find two Width and Rate trimpots so that you can dial in the modulation to your taste. Please give us the reason for your assessment in the following text box and – if possible – your e-mail address for further questions. The Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay features extended delay time with tap tempo functionality, optional modulation, a switch to toggle between the warm sound of the original pedal and vibrant sound of the Bright version, and much more. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. Featuring 600ms of delay time with optional modulation, and a three-knob layout that controls Delay, Mix, and Regen.

With a bright switch for more top-end (if you want the delays to cut through the mix) and a modulation switch which adds a chorusy tone to your repeats. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. So the solution is to put the CC in the (parallel) FX loop, so the distortion comes before the delay. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats) - all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. Inside the pedal is a Line Level/Instrument Level switch—which allows the pedal to be used either in front of the amp or in the FX loop—and a Dry Kill switch for a "wet only" effect that's perfect for studio recording. If you require a delay pedal for subtle ambience, the Carbon Copy won’t let you down, or if you use delay as the back bone of creating riffs the Carbon Copy will provide you with a lot to play with.

The MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay is a contemporary delay pedal with roots deeply planted in the classic tape echo tones of the past. You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish. To achieve its clear, warm tone, the Carbon copy relies on a traditional bucket brigade chip with up to 600 milliseconds of delay time. Use the Delay and Regen controls to dial in the time between repeats—up to 600ms—and how many repeats you want, and then use the Mix control to set the wet to dry signal ratio. In addition to its normal parameters, the MXR Carbon Copy has a small control for modulation which adds more color to the delay trail, bringing the sound even closer to the warble of a vintage tape machine.Guitar Guitar Limited trading as guitarguitar acts as a credit broker not a lender and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm registration number 742103. But this double switch carbon copy deluxe has a tap tempo on-board which means you can easily get your guitar in-sync with the song you're playing at the time. In addition, the DM-2W has the ability to split the wet and dry signals and has expression pedal support for controlling delay time. It’s a simple addition but it makes a big difference, especially when you’re playing at louder volumes.
