I actually don't have any other Gremlins to hold up for comparison's sake, you will have to take my word for this. At first I was a touch annoyed by this, but the stand itself is clear and the base is so small and unobtrusive that I have already forgotten about it for the most part.

If I remember correctly, January is not usually a huge time for new toys since the big year-end holiday rush just left all of our wallets crying in submission, but, so far, January has proved to be pretty fruitful in 2014. In fact, while it might be the best part, it is also the source of my major pain point with this guy – where the heck am I going to put him? Deposits are non-refundable; however, if the cancellation is on behalf of ourselves or the vendor, deposits will be refunded. It's sad that the Gremlins line hasn't sold as well as fans (and NECA) hoped and thus the likelihood is that we'll never see such things as the female Gremlin or (my personal favourite) the Bat Gremlin.Articulation is great, could do with a torso joint but every other point that could be articulated is articulated. The level of detail represented here is astounding, as the paint shows off all of Mohawk's stripes, ridges, and rills.

My only complaint is that the post seems to have trouble fitting into the hole in his underbelly, so mine usually rests on it rather than plugging in securely. I cannot decide if the sculpt or the paint applications are more impressive, but both of them are at the top of the heap for any action figure I have gotten recently. NECA has really outdone themselves with this figure, and their sculptors and painters need to pat themselves on the back for the design work.I am betting that this guy will turn a lot of new fans onto the property because he is just that outstanding, so hopefully we will get a chance to see the “WB” Gremlin, Greta, Mohawk 2. The package is surprisingly small, considering what's inside, which is good for storage and shelf space. I want to mention that despite all of the goodness of the figure itself, the Spider Gremlin also comes with two accessories: a reuse of the spider-serum beaker from way back and a display stand. You can even tell this from a quick photo - and considering the levels of re-use shown in the rest of this line, that is incredible. Once you've done that it's easy, and you soon have a massive spider gremlin ready to cause havoc in your house.

With a figure this huge and complex and this cheap (comparatively), you would be forgiven for not expecting any accessories. Gremlins toys are kind of in their own scale, but this one towers over all of them, as well as anything else in the 6"-8" range. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. The jaw on mine seems a little loose, and looks best either closed or open a little, but there is variety there.I am still admiring newly found details in every tooth, tail stinger, and leg spike on this bad boy. Sure, that property probably means more to me personally as I grew up more with Gremlins than the other two (I was too young for them in the ’80s), but the mogwai and gremlins figures they have been producing have been as close to perfection as just about anything going right now. They have produced "impossible" toys like this and the Predator Trophy Wall, appealed directly to fan nostalgia with the Kenner Predators and NES Jason and Freddy, have opened the gateway to fan-designed toys with the Dead End Predators, genuinely improved series 2 of Pacific Rim after hearing fan feedback, have snagged lots of awesome but unlikely licenses, and just overall have ben an incredible company.
