About this deal

Greene more than once tells stories that suggest that a seduction becomes an integral memory that moulds the future mind for the better, removing someone from past habits that do not reflect who they are. It is your task to create that tension in the target, to stimulate feelings of anxiety, to lead them to and fro, so that the culmination of the seduction has real weight and intensity. It assumes that you are a liar and manipulator by nature, but once you get past that, it's a fascinating study. To play the Rake, the most obvious requirement is the ability to let yourself go, to draw a woman into the kind of purely sensual moment in which past and future lose meaning.

Make your target feel they’re embarking on a great adventure with you, but they are also losing something, like their past or their comfortable life.Personally, I find this book to be better served so you can find positive qualities within yourself and embellish them for more charm and social power.

You are most often nice not out of your own inner goodness but out of fear of displeasing, out of insecurity. Sure it might seem like a good idea but ultimately doing such a thing would cause you to lose connection with your own identity, values and tastes and reduce your ability to build rapport with others (If you're not really being who you are then how can you expect people to build a sense of rapport and comfort around someone who isn't being themselves. And of course he rationalizes his whole philosophy by suggesting in many places that people who aren't ok with deception and dishonesty have no value (and should be avoided at all costs). I did enjoy learning about how these historical figures worked their various magics in the realm of seduction. They signal it in little details that elude their conscious control: their style of clothing, an offhand comment. The Sensualist: Driven by their senses, you must overwhelm their site, smell, and touch, to fully draw them in. Robert Greene is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, and The 50th Law. By letting you assume you're the one doing the manipulating, the author is playing on your own insecurities about how people perceive and judge you. If you follow the steps in this book, though, you're essentially becoming a heartless, calculating manipulator.

Robert Greene says sirens are the most powerful seductresses as they operate on a man’s most basic emotions, and these work on everyone. Your confidence and fluidity will have more intoxicating power than any alcohol or drug you could apply. The key is ambiguity: you are heterosexual, but you move delightfully back and forth between the two poles.Otherwise, seek a therapist and try to figure out why you keep seeking out dysfunctional relationships.
