Robert Greene is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, and The 50th Law. By letting you assume you're the one doing the manipulating, the author is playing on your own insecurities about how people perceive and judge you. If you follow the steps in this book, though, you're essentially becoming a heartless, calculating manipulator.
