Somebody out there doesn't want her discovering the truth of what happened to Andie, and it may just be the real person responsible. There were moments where I felt so much second-hand embarrassment for Pip as she tried to navigate areas of life that she had no clue in (the house party scene). The original investigation concluded with most of the evidence pointing to Sal, who was found dead in the woods, apparently by suicide. Saying that, I did route for Pip and Ravi as they started to drawer closer so I’m super excited to see what happened with them in the second book. that's because you're a judgmental prepubescent boy who still thinks little people live inside traffic lights.But, that frustration is in keeping with the character, it’s from a sense that she’s built believably and centred in a believable world.

I give major kudos to Holly for not have a romantic sub-plot within the book, I feel that would have detracted from the over story arc. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is the story of Pippa (Pip), a straight A student, who decided to EPQ (Extended Project Qualification done in your last year of school as an extra qualification in top of A Levels) on the murder of a local girl, five years beforehand. I did enjoy the book however, so if your under 15 I highly recommend waiting a few years, and if your at that age I still think you should use your best judgment on if this book is right for you.She’d never been this close before, but now that she was, she saw he had a dimple in his chin, just like hers. They’re also the more emotive causing chapters, I went from being tense to laughing to tears in a few chapters.
the main character is a great role model, she is a good daughter and is mature and kind, she is strong and will do whatever for the people she loves and cares about, she shows compassion to those who do not care for her. With his help, Pip digs deeper, unveiling unsavory facts about Andie and the real reason Sal's friends couldn't provide him with an alibi. Her 'real' father, the man who lent the Fitz to her name, died in a car accident when she was ten months old.When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. If it is a teenager who's missing, we can't assume the reporting parent knows all of their child's friends and acquaintances. And though Pip nodded and smiled when her mom would ask whether she remembered the way her father hummed while he brushed his teeth or how he'd laughed when Pip's second spoken word was 'poo," she didn't remember him.
