Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick 023 Cherries In The Snow is a long-lasting lipstick formula with a modern matte finish. One of the perks of this type of work is that I get to go home with some sort of goodies when it’s all over, and in this case I got to take home these gorgeous roses! Left to right: Revlon Berry Haute, Urban Decay Revolution Rapture, and Estée Lauder Matte Shameless Violet. If it were sheer it would look great, but it's too opaque for such a light color and makes my lips too pale, if that makes sense? The only colors I had looked great in were vampy burgundy and berry colors; however, those dark lip colors can be way too intense sometimes for casual or professional settings. What I had a hard time finding was a good red, and finally I got it in the uber-traditional Cherries in the Snow that fits nearly any setting or outfit I have going on. Honestly, if these had been the first lipsticks I'd tried, I might have been one of those people who was really into lipstick from the beginning of their makeup-using lives, rather than being frustrated with it most of the time.

I have Siren, which is a straight up orange, which I didn't quite like because it enhances flakes and it's semi sheer and gave me patchy coverage :S I do have Icy Violet too and I looooooooove that one so bad. As you can see in my swatch below, my skin has some neutral and warm undertones so it leans a little bit more pink. The product is brighter than shown in the picture however it looks lovely with a full face of make up.
