About this deal

Throughout, certain events felt a bit rushed and I wish we had gotten into more detail, but overall, it was an interesting read that kept my attention. It all comes together as you'd expect and weaves into a single story which satisfies the curiosities I had about where people ended up. It felt like the author couldn’t decide how to connect the WWII aspect to the murder aspect, so they created multiple weak connections through tropes (the importance of best friends, mental illness, domestic violence) but every single theme or message falls short.

However, it looks as if at ‘Tall Trees’, it is not so much the media but the past trying to find Nancy. While dealing with her own problems Nancy uncovers secrets with have been held within the walls of tall chimneys.

My sincere thank you to Penguin Random House Canada and NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of this clever novel. The suspense from both timelines held you gripped I literally could not put this book down, an atmospheric, engrossing plot that will keep you guessing. Jane Corry seems to make each chapter end on a thrilling moment which made me want to read on to find out what happens next.Through the introduction of the second plot line in the Second World War, Nancy’s world starts to interlink with that of Elizabeth, who has her own story to tell …. Nancy hopes to find respite here from the constant media attention that has plagued her since her stepbrother murdered her mother and stepfather.

After a sensational trial which sent her stepbrother to prison for a double murder, Nancy flees to the Cornish countryside to escape the prying eyes of the public and media.I don't think it's a spolier but I certainly didn't realize this book is broken into two different time period POVs. I couldn’t wait to find out what had happened that night, what haunts Nancy from the past relating to her stepfather?

Family tragedy leads to Nancy seeking refuge in tall chimneys hoping she will find peace and obscurity. DON'T MISS THE CAPTIVATING NEW BOOK FROM SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR JANE CORRY----------------------------' Deftly peeling back layers of family secrets, Coming to Find You is a compelling read' Shari Lapena, author of Not a Happy Family'A must-read thriller' B.

I’ve always enjoyed Jane’s thrillers, some of which are reviewed on this blog and with Coming to Find You, she has combined a gritty thriller with WW2 historical fiction leading to a dual time story that is suspenseful but with an emotive undercurrent.
