So I wanna get into DnD and been confused of where to start and such but the thing I wonder alot over is what book or set is best to start with or do I need multiple books/sets? Combining that with either a purchase of the Essentials Kit or even any or all of the main three rulebooks ( Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, and Monster Manual) is a better use of your money for getting into the hobby. For the more ambitious beginners happy to start with a longer more serious campaign, Curse of Strahd is among the best. The game’s long history and books full of rules might seem intimidating, but its popularity makes it easier than ever to get an adventure going. The game also provides plenty of tips to both players and Dungeon Masters alike, providing cues such as “yes and…” narrative events for the DM to get involved with and how to improvise things such as ability checks on the fly.It requires them to learn about the realm of the Feywild on top of figuring out the basic rules for running the game, but the campaign as a whole actually makes a great starter DM campaign. It also includes information on how to play adventures inside dungeons for both players and the Dungeon Master.
