While the fast-paced, well-written, intriguing and unique plot full of colourful and diverse characters made it an incredibly easy and enjoyable read. Les personnages ne m'ont absolument pas plu et j'ai deviné assez rapidement ce qui était réellement arrivé avec Browning. It seems to be a direct criticism of modern society; a World that is spent superficially manufacturing relationships online or living our lives day to day working 9-5 with no true happiness, this is all that we are able to achieve. This is really an amazing book and I recommend this book to anyone who loves Sara Shepard as much as I do.

Not one main character in this book, with all of his/her "superior" education, could communicate effectively or at least like an adult, which was the most annoying character flaw for me. Everything You Ever Wanted is a real breath of fresh air for science fiction – a genre which has felt a little lost of late. The story is told by a young-ish depressed woman named Iris, a Digital Innovation Architect for a company, who often rolls her eyes when she tells anyone her pretentious job title and laughs at what little significance the words have in the grand-scheme of the Universe. I found it difficult not to wish something horrible to happen to her in the dark underbelly of the sex industry she, rather naively (and still without taking her knickers off) inhabits. We honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' continuous connection to Country, waters, skies and communities.The reader learns that one tragic event dissolved the bond between Scott and Charles, Charles and his ex-girlfriend, Sylvie and her (now deceased) husband, as well as the boys and their (now deceased) father. The novel’s short chapters and frequent paragraph breaks made this a great book to pick up and put down during a busy schedule. Charles recently married Joanna, a young woman from a different side of town, whose troubled mother is always visiting the ER complaining of various illnesses.

Funny, heart-breaking and thought-provoking – a novel that talks about all the things we are most afraid to talk about. Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Each character was socially defunct, functioned insularly, and was all so consumed by his/her first world problems. I think (and hope) that the author’s intent was to show that he was more than that on the inside but that no one gets to know him well enough to figure that out. Scott is an angry, sullen young man whom everyone feels they have to tiptoe around lest they set him off.

Fan des séries young adult de Sara, j'étais impatiente de lire ce roman et je dois dire que c'est une grosse déception. When the novel opens, Sylvie has learned that a child Scott coached on the wrestling team has died, and the suspected cause is hazing. It didn’t go into enough detail , felt like I was guessing who each character was, and there seemed to be too many drama’s.
