I can see why my friends didn't like it, but I smiled, laughed, and was turned on pretty much the whole way through, which for me is a big win.

What I got was a retrograde romance with a lot of off-putting dirty talk and eww, male-pleasure-centered, woman-as-a-prop sex described with words like “pounding" and "milking. Seriously ladies (and gents, depending on your taste) you will be enthralled at how lovable Travis truly is.That’s very generous of you to consider reading the rest of the series; I don’t like a book that’s cruel to its central character like that for, what, laughs? stephen also almost punches travis because of his relationship with georgie (at this point, they are still only fake-dating, but obviously, stephen doesn't know that) and says stupid shit like "i think you know i have to", like no, you literally don't? And while there are bound to be hoards of readers who find virginal 23-year-old Georgie quirky, I’m not one of them. When Travis realizes his womanizing reputation (his nickname, "Two Bats," hints at his prowess both on the field and in the bedroom) might prevent him from landing a coveted job as a broadcast announcer, Georgie suggests a mutually beneficial fake relationship.

There was this lack of awareness all the way through this story with both Georgie and Travis having no idea what the other one is feeling. When they both realise they have questionable reputations, they decide to enter a fake relationship to achieve their lifetime goals.After he's offered a position as a sport's caster and discovers they're looking for a man who's settled-down, Georgie proffers they fake date. In the first, Macy Sorensen meets and falls in love with the boy next door, Elliot Petropoulos, in the closet of her dad’s vacation home, where they hide out to discuss their favorite books. I might consider reading more books in the series, particularly the one with Georgies sister, but I’m in no rush and would mostly use it as a filler read.

I loved that it wasn't about Georgie changing herself to be seen in a different light by him but rather just coming into her own and comfortable with it. he apparently thinks that he needs stephen’s permission to be "between her legs" when no, that's not the case. Please read the above quote and acknowledge that he thought of her in a young, sisterly way while TOUCHING HER BOOB and LIKING IT. I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t love this one because everyone seems to think this book is so sexy and steamy but I personally thought it was super cheesy and annoying. She throws herself into her work and rarely comes up for air, not even to plan her upcoming wedding.How was I supposed to take the girl seriously when (1) she’s a clown ( are there even any children on planet Earth that like clowns anymore?
