Earlier I noted that the new goal of Ghost Fightin’ Treasure Hunters when using the Creepy Cellar expansion is to drop off the twelve Cursed Treasures at the idols in the cellar. The two things I noticed most about the design would be the dice rolling mechanic and the change in the game due to the advanced cards. You can fight the hauntings too, but you have to have two treasure hunters in the same room to do so. I would go so far as to say that Creepy Cellar completes Ghost Fightin’ Treasure Hunters, making it a deeper game with more player options and more replayability. Some of the cards lock certain color doors and others require you to add more ghosts to the mansion. It was a very worthy winner of the Kinderspiel and it’s great that there will finally be an English language edition. That sells at triple the cost so go for this edition for sure its literally the same and my kids enjoyed using the kid based characters.

Second game we won after lots of back and forth battles and random events that dragged us around the boards, and a focused team effort to cull haunters and therefore avoid a last-second chain reaction as we made our way to the exit. As for Creepy Cellar, if you already own Ghost Fightin’ Treasure Hunters and like it, even just a little bit, this is a must purchase (assuming you can find it).Move – Now you move you player token a number of spaces up to the number on the die (though there is no obligation to move at all if you don’t want to move). In the basic game, the players take on the role of Treasure Hunters, trying to explore a haunted house to find the 8 Jewel Tokens before the house is over run by the ghosts. Trust me, don’t dismiss this game or enter into it thinking that it will be easy… You’ve been warned!
