About this deal

Still, great characters, nice reality, and genuinely interesting murder mystery game and of course the human dynamo that is Pippa Fitz-Amobi, so I still have to give this read a Three Star 6 out of 12. It feels more cozy than suspenseful, but the book does a nice job of injecting some dark atmosphere into the mix, so it's still quite riveting. But as Pip plays detective, teasing out the identity of the killer clue-by-clue, the murder of the fictional Reginald Remy isn't the only case on her mind . And I very much enjoyed attempting to solve the case with Pip (who I now want to be my best friend).

There is a lot to really enjoy in this story and there is great energy to the writing, as well as some fine characterization' - Peter James, award-winning and no.Because it looks pretty entertaining (・∀・) Even though Pippa had to go as far as reaching with her case solving (but I love to see hate-to-lose Pippa). Not to mention it was very annoying/jarring that when the characters were playing the games they were sometimes in their roles… and sometimes not.

It's an OK read, catching up with the characters back when they were all 'friends', but at 176 pages it sure felt like a pointless read. Pip, our favorite teen detective from A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, is joining friends for an evening of sleuthing. The whole book is a murder mystery party which is great and all but nothing happens aside from a bunch of kids playing a fake murder game.

Overall: that novella I’ve devoured in two hours definitely reminded me of my love and dedication to the series! So as well as watching her following the steps of the game, I was thinking about what I would do next if I was the one playing along. Their plates were empty all apart from Pip’s because there had been too much thinking to do to concentrate on eating. This site uses cookies to deliver our services, improve performance, for analytics, and (if not signed in) for advertising. That being said, I do want to read the series now simply because I think there's promise there in that direction. With mature content, “Kill Joy” is intended for older readers and is a thrilling addition to the popular and award-winning A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series.

It was super fun to revisit the characters we know and love, and even Pip's poor dog gets a mention. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. This one is weak on characterization (mind you, I think if I'd read book one first, I wouldn't have this complaint), and it's also weak on story.Jackson teases the audience or really imparts metalepsis, you have to read this book as I can’t mention more about it as it will be a spoiler and hinder your reading experience. The goods do not need to be in their original packaging however in a sellable condition, and at your own cost and risk. I loved how everything was arranged and I had a big laugh at the comments that everyone had to the rooms (billiard hall without billiards… a library with just 8 books). This is the prelude to the sensational bestselling and very well worth reading (well the first two books in the series) A Good Girl's Guide to Murder trilogy.
