All items are weighted down by a specially made grid, to help ensure everything is fully immersed in the solution. Having to unpack a big bulky steriliser to do one bottle a day was annoying so when this arrived on my doorstep it was fab! Before using the Unit for the first time make sure you read the safety leaflet contained in the unit and wash all parts of the Unit with warm soapy water and rinse with cold water. I think it could do with having a little measuring cup that comes with it to measure out the 60ml water that’s required for microwave sterilising.

The steriliser is a convenient travel size but it does have a tendency to leak (ever so slightly) when not standing upright – otherwise, a really useful, value-for-money product. The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other Milton owners to provide you with a good answer.

For me this product wasn't hugely useful because you can only sterilise one bottle at a time and I found it easier having several bottles ready. There are markings on the side showing the correct water level for cold water sterilisation, although none for microwaving, and our tester felt that would have been a useful addition.

The travel steriliser is quite small, it can sterilise one bottle at a time, and can be used in two ways, the cold water method and the microwave method. It also has a watertight lid to prevent spills when on the move and a unique �lay flat� design so it can be used in any size microwave. Place the travel steriliser upright in the microwave if it fits that way, if not the place it on its side and microwave it for the instructed amount of time which it states on the box and on the leaflet.We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. It’s roomier than the Tommee Tippee 2-in-1 Travel Steriliser, which we also tested, though not quite as capacious as the microwave steam steriliser bags, like the Medela Quick Clean Microwave Bags. It would be ideal for those who go camping, for example, because it gives families more time with each other as there is less time spent in the kitchen. Milton Sterilising Tablets or Milton Sterilsing Fluid can be used in the unit which has a large 5L capacity; can hold up to 6 standard baby bottles. I could have really used the travel steriliser right then, and not wanting to be caught out like that again it was a no brainer.
