This is an excellent book for young children, which can help develop counting as granny takes the reader on an adventure around the world with her. I enjoyed reading this book because in some of the cultures I did not realize one of their customs and normalities. She lives in southwest England, and enjoys walking and working in her garden as well as doing nothing whenever she has the chance. The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged.

Since studying at the Royal College of Art, he has painted in numerous locations for exhibitions, commissions and publications, and has become a tutor at Goldsmiths University. Definitely will use in my teaching as there are multiple opportunities for studying cultures and their history. Fly away with Granny as she takes a magic carpet ride around the world, collecting a steadily increasing number of souvenirs from each unique location! As it says in the title it is written in rhyme and every place she visits she picks up a certain amount of objects (one more than the previous place) therefore is a counting book also.This children's book is ideal for introducing the different cultures around the world by traveling together with Granny and her flying carpet. On each page there are a number of things that need to be found and counted, helping the reader learn how to count in a fun way!

This book can be used to be read out to children, the illustrations are fabulous, a lot of questions can be asked to children about it, i. s A Child's Treasury of Poetry, which was a constant companion throughout her childhood, Paolo Coelho's The Alchemist, everything by T. This rhyming story of My Granny Went To Market will take young readers on an adventure to different countries while teaching them essential counting skills along the way!The different cultures add another layer to the story by maybe piquing some interest in a country the reader may or may not have heard of. His travels include India, Cuba, Tunisia, Peru, Tahiti, Australia, the Comoros Islands, New York, Los Angeles and London. This book would be a great way to lead into activities and lessons about different countries and cultures. Award-winning author Stella Blackstone has written many of Barefoot's best-selling titles, including the Bear series and the Cleo the Cat series.
